In line with the overall proposal approved by the Polkadot community, having successfully completed the first milestone and its report thereof submitted, IBC Media is now delighted to submit its 2nd milestone proposal to the Polkadot community.

In close association with the Indian state governments, Tech Mahindra, T-Hub (Asia’s largest innovation hub) and skill boards of the Indian states, IBC Media is unleashing a set of programmes designed to build and sustain a thriving developer community for Polkadot ecosystem, by creating a perpetual interconnected tool sets of Education Bootcamps, Hybrid Hackathons, Build sessions with expert trainers, leading to democratization of Polkadot Substrate technology stack to a wider community which consists of student developers from 1000+ engineering schools across India, to start with. IBC Media is also playing an important role in accelerating the creation of new and innovative dApps in the Polkadot ecosystem.

These programs culminate in a year-end govt-led conference every year for the next 5 years, which will witness the participation from all key govt representatives, leading industry players, the education system leadership, investors, accelerators, startups, developers, students and a host of other dignitaries.

We are delighted to share the progress achieved so far with over 20,000 student developers onboarded, an on-ground Hackfest successfully organized in Hyderabad, India with 300+ shortlisted student developers from across the Telangana state having been trained on Polkadot technology stack by industry experts along with many more thousands attending online sessions resulting into 1300+ innovative ideas being generated which are now getting built into viable MVPs with the help of expert trainers. To further enhance the development experience, technical speakers/mentors from the Web3 Foundation & Parity team also participated in the program.

IBC Media is currently expanding its reach to the student developers in other Indian states, the next immediate state being Andhra Pradesh with the support of the government to bring the Polkadot ecosystem awareness, enhance Substrate technology skills among these student developers, help them with product idea generation and onboard them into the Polkadot developer ecosystem.
