Hey there!
We are thrilled to present to the community our cloud monitoring platform for validator operators in Polkadot and Kusama by p2p.org.
Validator Monitoring Service is a monitoring platform designed to track the performance of validators in the Polkadot and Kusama networks. Our service is a valuable tool for small teams and independent validators operators looking to succeed in the decentralized community and who may not have the time or resources to develop their monitoring system. Our service provides them with a monitoring platform out of the box and saves them time and effort, allowing them to focus on other aspects of validator operations. Nominators can benefit from our service as they can compare the performance of different validators in detail. They can use our service to track not only APR but also to know in detail to whom they nominate - their block production compared with the rest and their participation in consensus. This enables them to make informed decisions about which validators to nominate and ultimately helps them maximize their returns.
Validator Monitoring Service has several key features that make it an essential tool for validator operators and nominators in Polkadot and Kusama networks.
We provide a Grafana instance that users can access through an easy-to-use telegram bot (@p2pvalidator_monitoring_bot). This live dashboard allows users to track essential metrics such as session/era progress, staking data, rewards points, active validators, positions in the active set, and more. We collect data on all active validators and store it for up to one month, providing users with historical data on validator performance. This allows users to analyze their validator's behavior over time and identify any potential issues.
The Validator Monitoring Service offers a comprehensive set of available metrics for validator operators and nominators in the Polkadot and Kusama networks. These metrics are available in our Minimum Viable Product, accessible via a Telegram bot (@p2pvalidator_monitoring_bot), and cover various aspects of validator performance:
Our purpose for initiating this discussion thread is to introduce our service to the community and gather valuable feedback regarding the desired features that the community would like to see. We eagerly await your input!
