Polkadot Branding on the Track: Discussion

Introduction

My name is Nicholas Marshall, and I'm reaching out to the Polkadot community on behalf of Nishaun Marshall. Nishaun is a rising star in the world of karting.

We're seeking a year-long branding partnership with Polkadot. Our goal is two-fold: to help Nishaun reach his full potential on the track, and to introduce Polkadot's blockchain to the exciting world of motorsports and a whole new demographic. Nishaun will be competing in more than 50+ race weekends throughout the year if this proposal gets approved, guaranteeing maximum visibility for the Polkadot brand both at race events and through our online presence.

As a supporter of the Polkadot ecosystem since 2020, I have contributed to various crowdloans like Astar, Moonbeam, and Acala. I firmly believe that Polkadot is the future number one chain in crypto, and I am confident that this proposal will help to solidify and strengthen the Polkadot brand.

Competing in any motorsport is an expensive endeavour. Every top motorsport athlete makes it to the top by having sponsorship behind them. This is why we are 100% committed to making this proposal work and to deliver maximum value back to the Polkadot community. We understand that some proposals fall short of their potential, but we can assure you that this is not one of them. This partnership will represents our passion and future, and we see it as a way to both further a young driver's career and bringing those who support us along on that journey.

Branding Proposal:

Extensive Brand Visibility: Polkadot branding will be prominently displayed on Nishaun's kart, helmet, racing attire, and associated gear, offering high visibility at races and through online content.

Exposure to Motorsport Enthusiasts: Tap into the dedicated motorsport audience through live streams on Motorsport UK, Alpha Live Timing YouTube channel, and directly at racing events.

Youthful Engagement: Connect with a young demographic through educational videos on the Polkadot ecosystem (Gaming_On_Chain YouTube channel).

Dynamic Social Media Presence: Polkadot logo featured on Nishaun's social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)

Community Ambassador: Nishaun becomes a brand ambassador, If available Community members are also encouraged to attend race weekends to show their support in polkadot branded attire if available.

Benefits for Polkadot

Brand association with a rising star: Align the polkadot brand with a young, exciting talent who resonates with a tech-savvy and future-oriented audience which will be easy to onboard to the polkadot ecosystem.

Increased brand awareness and exposure outside of crypto: Benefit from Nishaun’s growing popularity through race participation, media coverage, and social media presence. We will also use this unique opportunity to be featured on national and local news throughout the uk. We will aim to make the polkadot brand the main topic of conversation. I think This will be the first sponsorship of its kind which will no doubt generate a lot of buzz throughout the uk.

Positive brand image: Showcase your support for youth development and community involvement through sponsorship. We aim to represent polkadot on this front attending corporate motorsport events throughout the uk. This includes but not limited to events such as kartmania with a polkadot branded stand with resources to teach and explain the polkadot blockchain. We will also aim to attended events outside of motorsport if needs be.

Unique marketing opportunities: Leverage nishaun’s image and racing events for promotions and content creation. Polkadot community will have the rights to use nishaun’s image to promote the brand and Call on him to attend polkadot events.

Measuring Success

We want to ensure this partnership drives Polkadot adoption within the karting community.

Unique Promo Codes: will try and Work with preferred Polkadot wallets (Nova, Polkawallet, Subwallet) to create Nishaun-specific referral codes. We'll promote these across racing channels, allowing us to track sign-ups directly linked to the partnership.
Wins and Podiums: Highlight Nishaun's victories and podium finishes. This amplifies the Polkadot brand association with success.
Social Media and Brand Awareness:

Track follower growth and engagement on Nishaun's social media platforms.
Survey race attendees to gauge brand recognition.

We're Open to Innovation: We're committed to exploring new tracking methods as they become available. We'll continue to advocate for referral features within Polkadot wallets for more accurate, future data.

Proposed Financial Support

Spare parts and tools for repairs and adjustments.

Race Expenses:

Entry fees for race weekends.
Travel costs (transportation, accommodation) for regional and national events.
Tire costs (a significant ongoing expense).
Mechanic support on race weekends

Training and Development:

Professional coaching sessions to improve driving skills.
Simulator time for off-track practice.
Fitness training to maintain peak physical condition.

Detailed Budget: We'll provide a detailed breakdown of projected costs for the sponsorship year.

Accountability: We're committed to responsible management of funds and regular reporting on expenses. Any money spent will be accounted and reported.
