Application for Bounty #17 Curator: Patricia Arro

Quick intro of myself:
I'm Patricia, formerly working at Parity as Community Manager for APAC. I've been doing community management in the blockchain space for 6 years and have managed community campaigns, events, moderators and ambassadors. I'm well-experienced in community activations via local meetups/gatherings, organizing side events and KOL collaborations.

Why are you a great fit for a Curator role?

  • During my time at Parity, I helped review and curate most of the event proposals in the APAC region, all of which were approved by the curators at the time. With this experience, I believe I am well-suited to continue curating proposals for Bounty #17.

How would your involvement in Bounty #17 lead to improvements and what do you think these would look like?

  • With my involvement, I will help in making better system by implementing KPIs, such as acknowledging submissions, setting a timeline for thorough analysis of proposals, and providing feedback. Having been a proposer myself, I know the gaps that need real improvement.

Provide an example of an achievement/success of yours within the Polkadot Community that you are most proud of.

  • The best example I can give is the gathering of KOLs in Bangkok that I organized last year. This small and intimate event was an achievement for me, as it left a positive impression of Polkadot with the web3 leaders who attended. The relationships built during this event are still strong, and these leaders and individuals continue to support the Polkadot ecosystem by including it in relevant events even outside Bangkok.

As for my qualifications:

  • As mentioned above , I have experience in reviewing and curating event proposals, with a high approval rate from curators, reflecting strong evaluative skills and attention to detail.
  • Mentioned above as well: I have an extensive Web3 and blockchain experience with over 6 years of blockchain community management.
  • Proven track record of working closely with local web3 leaders in the region, successfully enhancing community reach and connectivity.
  • Established and maintained strong relationships with KOLs and industry influencers, leveraging these connections to benefit the Polkadot ecosystem.
  • Organized various offline and online community activities for consistent engagement and interaction within the community.
