Hello, my name is Rosťa. I am a developer.
I am also a Polkadot Blockchain Academy 2023 (Berkeley edition) alumnus.
I am currently building a mobile wallet for all Substrate based chains written in c#. It is called PlutoWallet and it is fully open-sourced here: https://github.com/rostislavLitovkin/plutowallet.
There are many different wallets and they all try to say the same thing - that they have the best UI/UX. All they mean is that they are simple to use and that they are pleasing to look at. Does that mean that they are the best?
The special part about PlutoWallet is Custom Layouts.
Everybody has got a different needs.
This is exactly what PlutoWallet's Custom Layouts offer, custom UX for every user. It enables the wallet to show very niche information that would otherwise bloat everybody's wallet. Because it can be visible only to users that actually care about the information, it will result in a UI/UX, that satisfies everyone.
If you would like to learn more about these Custom Layouts, be sure to watch this short video presentation: https://youtu.be/ojU8-w6u5Oo?si=Y5SdA3o-Up7KswhY.
Now, I would like to ask you!
Do you agree that these Custom Layout can help with onboarding new users to the Polkadot ecosystem?
What UI elements / Layouts / Features would you like me to include in the PlutoWallet, in order for you to use it?
Do you have any other opinions about this topic?
Please, we sure to let me know!
Here are some examples of these layouts:
Thank you for putting this together.
A wallet with custom layouts sounds interesting—the user journey for building the custom layouts seems good and simple. I agree that different types of users want different experiences when using wallets. Gamers use a wallet for different things compared to defi users. Have you thought about having pre-build layouts where users select it?
