Despite the drama behind Marketing Bounty #33, as Giotto said - Marketing is not dead or should not be with the community's support. I am committed to propose high impact marketing opportunities that will elevate Polkadot's brand, while raising awareness with measured results to maximize value of each spend.
I am proposing Polkadot to be a Bronze Sponsor for Github Universe '24. This will be a great opportunity for Polkadot to reach and expand into the U.S. This conference will have the largest developer community, tech entrepreneurs, and venture capitalists in attendance as it will be held in San Francisco. The Polkadot logo will be prominently displayed everywhere for this event - on the mainstage, online, emails/communications, flyers/banners, presentations slides and the keynote event.
The cost should not exceed 7,500 DOT. The cost for the booth is included, but I would still recommend Distractive to take lead on the event side to insure the consistency with the Polkadot brand. The sponsorship includes 3 passes, so the ambassadors in the US will have access and can be the hosts of the sponsor booth. (I am more than happy to step in if needed, but the best qualified for each role will always have priority)
Any difference in the costs (including fees for Distractive, ambassadors travel, and any other incidentals) will be returned to the Treasury along with a detailed expense report. All sponsorships (except the 2 remaining Bronze sponsor spots) are sold out, so timing is of the essence.
