The only viable solution, thanks for proposing it.

Yes, please remove the current ambassador program. Polkadot needs more ambassadors, from 100 to 500, with little salary, to prevent corruption and to attract enthusiastic ambassadors who care less about the money and more about progress.

Please no more hierarchy, only horizontal structure, real decentralization, we live in the 21st century! Look at the Polkadot logo and the relay chain architecture, we need ambassadors to be like parachains.

Once again a split vote from me. I understand the concern, but this proposal is not stating any plan on how to get things done after. We are asking to review what we have actually achieved so far and reconsider this move.

I initiated the following with a few current HAs:

  1. Collect what we have and share it with the community (with those few who joined to help)
  2. Post individual reports by next week (all HAs)
  3. Present a decent plan including onboarding (Finish the Main process document, including a finalized onboarding system)
  4. Ask the community to reconsider 1195 if they like our plan and what actions we want to take

Individuals who believe they can provide valuable insights and take constructive actions are encouraged to contribute.

The HA program is just getting started and something with that much expectations from many sides takes time to establish.
"Dont throw the baby out with the birthwater" sort of.
Give it the time it takes and improve things rather then simply cancelling the gems we have. Also, removing the current HA's would only make sense if we could assume to find better candidates which i actually highly doubt to be feasible, one success of the HA initial setup is that we arrived to identify and place some of the finest gems we have. Problem is not the people there, nor the amount, issue is the lack of established structure and processes to effectively support the HA's
