Head Ambassador Proposal - Georgi
Introduction:
My name is Georgi. I have been actively involved in the Polkadot ecosystem since early 2021. Initially, my contributions focused on community building, organizing events and workshops for developers. Since late 2023, I have been contributing to multiple business development initiatives. My candidacy as Head Ambassador will focus on strengthening and expanding the Polkadot developer community in Eastern Europe, starting with Bulgaria, while maintaining my BD activities.
Proposed Approach:
Focus on Eastern Europe, starting with Bulgaria:
- Eastern European countries, such as Bulgaria, Romania, and Poland among others, are considered some of the best countries for IT specialists for several reasons, including a strong education system, low cost of living, a growing IT sector, government support, access to experts, multilingual population, and a strong work ethic with a "can-do" attitude.
- Establishing a solid developer community in Bulgaria can serve as a model for other Eastern European countries.
- Bulgaria has a strong base of tech professionals and renowned universities, providing fertile ground for the growth of a Substrate developer community.
- Collaborate with companies like Limechain for technical support, and others like Droxic and Dev.bg.
- Provide developers with access to a support network and resources, facilitating their integration and success in the ecosystem.
Continue with Business Development:
- While focusing on community building in Eastern Europe, continue contributing to business development without geographical restrictions.
Mission:
- Attraction of New Developers: Attract and nurture new developers for the ecosystem.
- Institutional Adoption: Drive the institutional adoption of Polkadot technology.
Strategic Plan for the First Three Months as Head Ambassador:
1. Integration with Educational Institutions:
Establish agreements to integrate Substrate as a subject in the major universities and academies in Bulgaria.
Collaborate with educational technicians in the ecosystem to develop a robust and attractive curriculum.
2. Hackathon Initiatives:
Promote the creation of hackathons to foster innovation and engagement within universities and academies.
Offer prizes and recognitions to motivate participation and highlight local talent.
3.Creation of High-Quality Content:
Develop and distribute high-quality educational content about Polkadot and its ecosystem.
Produce tutorials, guides, and use cases that demonstrate the potential of Polkadot.
4.Organization and Representation at Events:
Organize events and represent Polkadot at Web3, Web2, technology, and startup conferences and events.
5. Preparation of Use Cases:
Prepare use cases for projects on Polkadot and establish contacts with potential clients.
Collaborate with local companies to identify opportunities for implementing Polkadot.
Support:
I have full support from Limechain in Bulgaria, as well as other important members within my circle in Bulgaria.
I would like to collaborate with other Head Ambassadors to maximize our impact and share best practices.
Remuneration:
A minimum of 60% of the post-tax remuneration will be shared with the partners supporting me, as well as external companies responsible for content creation and marketing.
