This new marketing bounty is being created in order to be more flexible compared to the previous one [33]
The issue with the previous one is that the mandate was extremely complicated and detailed which was most likely unnecessary. It will be replaced by this new bounty which will have a very simple and easy to understand scope
The scope of the new bounty is the following:
The purpose of this bounty is to support marketing for Polkadot. There are no specific rules and restrictions regarding to which type of marketing is going to be supported, or specific maximum caps regarding projects or anything of the sort. This bounty is more mission based, it will try to identify the best opportunities for marketing as those opportunities arise. There is no point setting artificial limitations that will simply prevent us from taking the best opportunities. The community is of course free to refuse to refill or to request a change of curators if not satisfied with the results. I personally believe it is more important to produce quality results and be effective rather than write extremely complicated and detailed proposals that only create problems and limitations later on.
The only rule of this bounty is that if one of the curators is involved in the proposal they have to abstain from voting
