I had a great experience working with the team, and they seemed to be focused on the right questions and details for Polkadot. From what I can tell, this team is not trying to shill BS metrics which plague the blockchain space, but actually try to find insight into the right metrics and data needed to identify high quality projects in our space, and for the future of Web3.
If I had a criticism of Token Terminal today, it is that they are not well suited to capture the true metrics for many of the next generation blockchains like Polkadot. For example representing Polkadot not as its own blockchain with TVL, TPS, User Activity, etc... but as a security hub, data availability layer, and cross chain messaging platform for dozens of connected chains.
With their partnership with the Parity Data team, I am confident the Token Terminal team will be able to represent Polkadot fairly, and gain new insight into how they should be evaluating next generation blockchain scaling solutions.
I did an interview with the Token Terminal team covering Polkadot almost a year ago: https://twitter.com/tokenterminal/status/1661371959018504194
