Introduction:
It is the first time the Polkadot Decoded is being held in the capital of the European Union. For this purpose, Polkadot Hubs together with the Parachain (Technical) Summit propose to book a space to host a series of side events. The Polkadot Pop-Up Hub initiative aims to establish a dynamic, temporary co-working and networking space in Brussels, coinciding with the forthcoming Polkadot Decoded conference in July 2024. This temporary hub will serve as a collaborative sanctuary for Decoded attendees, facilitating connections, and ideation, and will offer an opportunity for the community to self host side-events. Read more about the Polkadot Hubs initiative in this forum post: https://forum.polkadot.network/t/polkadot-hubs-uniting-the-community-worldwide-through-physical-spaces/3420.
The events:
Technical Summit - 10th July:
The Polkadot Technical Summit provides a space for the founders, builders, and ecosystem agents to gather together where they can solve current issues and push forward Polkadot's Development. These Technical Summits provide a chance for Parity to work with the Ecosystem, helping us build up trust. The Polkadot Summit aims to foster innovation, collaboration, and growth within the Polkadot ecosystem by providing an engaging platform for attendees to discuss pressing topics, share insights, and explore new partnerships. Polkadot Summit is tailored for the key-decision makers and builders. The summit is attended by CTOs, CEOs, key [technical focused] project team members of parachains and infrastructure projects, selected core contributors and Parity Engineering. Previous Summit Examples The fourth Polkadot Summit took place on the 11th March, Thailand - Bangkok, one day prior to the Sub0 Developer conference. With over 100+ attendees, engaging talks and key project teams and ecosystem agents in attendance, including both Gavin Wood & Pierre Aubert, the Summit proved to be an overall success.
For a full breakdown of what happened on the day, check out the forum post below: https://forum.polkadot.network/t/polkadot-summit-asia-2024/7178 Polkadot Technical Summit - 2024’ Brussels Organized for the 10th July, 1 day prior to Decoded, we aim to provide a similar experience for its attendees. These summits are always ecosystem led.

PopUp Hub - 11th & 12th July.
The venue is open and free for any Polkadot or Web3 community member (even without a Decoded ticket). The goal of this space is to offer everyone an opportunity to get to know other community members, work from there, organize a small meetup, or even hold a presentation for their community. It is a genuine community space to accompany the main event venue, where it might get too busy for work, meetings, or discussions with other community members. To make a reservation for hosting your meeting, meetup, discussion round, or presentation, please send us an email. Soon, you will also be able to book a slot through the Polkadot Hub app, which we are currently setting up for you. Some of the communities that have already booked the space include: a meetup for Polkadot JS developers, a meet-and-greet for Decoded sponsored participants, and an open mic for pitches from candidates for the Head Ambassador role, among others. Please reach out and make use of the space provided for the community by the community.
The venue:
The venue is Produits Dangereux, managed by the same company as the main Decoded venue and located only 5 min away from it, in the same campus (Picardstraat 7, 1000 Brussel). It is one of the most inspiring conference and events centers in Brussels where participants from all over the world meet to share ideas and to create stories.
