ZKValidator is submitting a treasury proposal to fund a virtual event to raise the profile of privacy and the use of zero knowledge proofs in the Polkadot ecosystem. We are a mission driven validator with the goal of promoting more extensive adoption of privacy and zkp tech in the blockchain space.
The proposal would use €8000 in DOT from the treasury to fund the event. The full proposal is viewable through the link here. The key points and motivation for the profile are as follows:
- Privacy is a blocker to more extensive adoption of blockchain technology.
- Hosting an event raises awareness of the importance of privacy on Polkadot and encourages discussion in this subject area.
- An event also provides a platform for networking - new connections can be made and ideas shared.
- We previously hosted a privacy focused workshop for Polkadot in the Summer of 2019, the write up is here and a virtual event in April 2021, with the recordings of the event viewable here. We hope that you will support our proposal and welcome any feedback.
Thank you for your consideration!
