Is it possible to know more about the identity of the proposer and how we can guarantee the referendum delivery? All we can tell is that the proposer has a gmail email account verified.

Seconding @SAXEMBERG's request: we would like to know more about the proposer. Additionally, could all teams/partners that are listed in the proposal as attending and being part of this deal please make a note on the post here endorsing this submission? If they will be participating at the event they should be able to confirm their participation and the relationship with the proposing team here. Thanks!

Hello!

Apologies for the last response, as it has been hectic while attending the PBA graduation the past two days. I am confirming that I am participating in this proposal, and I am part of the multisig. The team organizing this previously organized a well put together Polkadot sponsorship of TeamZ in Tokyo (March 2024), which was funded under the events bounty.

  • Betty (proponent) will verify her account as a sub-account of DFG's official account, rather than just against her gmail
  • Given the W3F registrar shut down, we were not sure how to verify the beneficiary pure proxy, but in the meantime we will verify the signers and provide the information that anyone can use to verify the multisig.

I will also ask some of the other team members to comment here.

Polytope Labs will also participate in ABS 2024 and we fully support this proposal. The goal is to showcase Hyperbridge to developers, protocol teams, and investors through panels, talks, and workshops.

Harbour Industrial Capital supports this proposal, and we are indirectly involved in it via PPE, which will be a co-signer. Taiwan is an important strategic market, and this event will be a great opportunity to showcase the work of different teams building on Polkadot.

Hello - we have tied up the operations related to Asia Blockchain Summit 2024.

We ended up spending less than the planned amount and have returned 2173 DOT to the treasury (note that the ~10% volatility buffer was used up due to the DOT price dropping between award and spend).

We have written up a report of the event, benefits and lessons learned:

  • A conference ops team is needed to ensure success
  • Clear targets should be set; clear SOPs should be available
  • Expenses should be covered to enable attendance
  • We need an educated presence at the booth
  • Side event outreach / coverage is important
  • Plan for Visa Issues
  • Traffic may be affected by externalities
  • We should be a part of the highest draw aspects of the conference if we are a major sponsor
  • Event planning should be less ad-hoc as an ecosystem
  • “Ecosystem Agents” should be involved across the board
  • The messaging should be coordinated among speakers and those who represent the ecosystem publicly
  • Event management is difficult and requires specialized skills
