Since February 2023, the existence of a bounty has been proposed to promote the creation of content in Spanish, as well as to promote events within the region.
With a total of 140 paid translations, 157 audiovisual content created and paid, 76 written content created and paid and 17 events funded and promoted to September 8th from this Bounty in its V2 version, we have managed to empower and project Polkadot within the Spanish-speaking Web3 ecosystem.
The second edition of the Spanish-speaking Bounty represented a milestone in the development of the Spanish-speaking community. By implementing a more rigorous and transparent selection process, it has been possible to ensure that funds are allocated to initiatives that generate greater impact and added value for the members of the Polkadot community. This evolution has not only promoted excellence in the production of content and events, but has also brought a greater return on investment for the ecosystem, consolidating the Spanish-speaking community as a fundamental pillar.
The Spanish-speaking community has been a driving force behind Polkadot's growth among its end users. This achievement is largely attributable to the dedication and talent of our content creators, who have leveraged the rewards to produce high-quality educational materials and foster an active community. Their efforts have been crucial in expanding Polkadot's reach and attracting new users.
Also, this Bounty, by incentivizing the creation of high quality content, has acted as a catalyst to attract a new generation of highly skilled creators and users who have become true ambassadors for Polkadot. As a result, several of the Bounty's most prominent participants have become active members in Polkadot, playing key roles as Decentralized Voices program delegates, speakers, educators and Head Ambassadors.
During this period of time the Bounty was in charge of promoting and curating from the different corresponding tracks, reaching the following numbers (until September 8th):
Translation and content into Spanish
— Paid translations: 140
— Translators: 9 actives
— Average paid per content: USD 32.28
Organization of events oriented to the Spanish-speaking community
— Number of events funded by the Bounty: 19
— Number of total attendees: 1150
— Countries where events were covered: Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Chile, Venezuela, Perú, Honduras and Spain
— Average payment per event: USD 6.860
Creation of Spanish language written content
— Total number of creators: 23
— Number of approved contents: 76
— Number of views: 86000
— Average number of views per approved content: 1131
— Average reward per approved content: USD 44
Audiovisual Content Creation in Spanish
— Total Paid: 157
— Total recorded content : 23 hours
— Number of views: 87700
— Average number of views per approved content: 558
— Average paid per content: USD 167.25
To give more detail about what the Bounty has already done and to be able to share with the community, all content has been uploaded to polkadotespanol.com and can be detailed by the community. Likewise, we have also boosted our X account, where events and content created from the Bounty are published and promoted.
We would also like to mention that one of the difficulties we faced with the second version of the Bounty has to do with the fluctuations of the DOT token. At the time of making the proposal the DOT token was at 7.45 USD per token, which implies that with the market downturns we have lost between 40 to 50% of the funds.
However, in despite of this, the efforts of the curators have led to the funds performing at the maximum possible level, allowing us to maintain our goal of reaching 6 months of functions, which will be completed in the month of October.
With this reality that we have been seeing in the Polkadot ecosystem, we want to continue with a third version of this Bounty in order to continue the momentum within the Spanish-speaking community.
The main objective of this Bounty is to incentivize and reward Spanish content creators, motivating them to produce high quality work that contributes to the growth and development of the ecosystem. By recognizing their efforts, we seek to foster a more active and dynamic community, capable of attracting an ever wider audience.
The proposal focuses on maintaining the same evaluation team formed by Spanish-speaking curators with knowledge mainly in the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem and technical knowledge in the areas of analysis, incorporating defined criteria for each evaluation area.
In conclusion, with this bounty, we seek to optimize the evaluation process of content and events in Spanish, guaranteeing a fast and rigorous curation. Our goal is to keep fostering an active community of creators and ensure that the information available is of high quality and aligned with the interests of the community.

Hi
Thank you for your proposal.

So this is mean, that 1150\19 = 60 attendees per event? Oh..wow.
That is bad.
