PolkaWorld votes AYE
We believe user experience is one of the key drivers for user growth and developer adoption in the Polkadot ecosystem.
This UX Bounty proposal demonstrates several clear strengths:
• Proven delivery capability: 5 UX audits were completed in Q2 with a 95% satisfaction rate, showcasing strong execution.
• Transparent and mature governance: Operated as a quarterly bounty, the model offers accountability and flexibility without long-term staffing commitments.
• Clear goals and roadmap: Q3 will include 8 new audits, along with the launch of UX consulting and data analysis initiatives — all with measurable KPIs.
• Reasonable budget structure: 73% of the total budget goes directly to project delivery; operational costs are controlled with no excess spending.
• Strong ecosystem alignment: Priority will be given to core ecosystem projects like Polkadot Hub and AssetHub, creating a positive feedback loop.

Our DAO has voted Nay on this top up as our members' initial understanding on this proposal would result in the development of a reusable UI component library, providing ready-to-use code across multiple languages to support high-quality interface development throughout the ecosystem. However, the scope appears to focus more on UX audits of existing community platforms, many of which have already received significant funding. We believe that if a platform, like Polkasembly believe a UX audit is necessary, it may be more appropriate for them to allocate internal resources or submit a separate proposal for the fund. Given by the public budget involvement, it seems this funding could deliver greater value if directed toward new UI tooling or broadly applicable developer resources. REEEEEEEEEE DAO

Dear Proposer,
Thank you for your proposal. Our first vote on this proposal is AYE.
The Medium Spender track requires 50% quorum (at least 5 aye votes) and simple majority of non-abstain votes according to our voting policy v0.2, and any referendum in which the majority of members vote abstain receives an abstain vote. Multiple voters supported the proposal and highlighted its excellent work and detailed KPIs, while a few abstained to avoid conflicts of interest given their related roles. Commenters recognized the impact of the completed five UX audits with over 170 actionable recommendations and the successful upgrade of rollups. They appreciated the clearly laid out new initiatives in Data Analytics and UX Consultancy, as well as the transparent budgeting process. Questionable UX, lack of coordination around UX best practices or influencing core development to improve DevEx are all tremendous pain points Polkadot has suffered from. Turns users away and developers don't have proper guidelines to follow to improve the UX of what they're building.
A service led by specialists to support teams with UX is absolutely the right idea to fix this.
We just concluded the hackathon at the Web3summit and the team have already committed to supporting projects with their UX needs post-hackathon. This at least to me shows a true dedication of their role in the ecosystem and their commitment to help empower new initiatives.
Having demonstrated a consistent effort over the past 12 months, it is my belief that their efforts will be even more valuable in the coming months with the increase in projects coming into the ecosystem. Solid AYE!

The UX Bounty is a highly responsible bounty that has taken on multiple critical roles within the ecosystem. From sharing updates on the Asset Hub Migration to funding projects for UX audits, it plays a key part in driving product improvements across the Polkadot ecosystem.
The Q3 plan is also well-detailed and will bring tangible benefits to ecosystem projects. The budget is reasonable, which is why we support this refill proposal.
Additionally, Bifrost, as an audited project, confirmed that UX Bounty has significantly improved the user experience within the Polkadot ecosystem and rated its work very highly.
Polkadot is currently at a pivotal stage in driving application adoption, and user experience is crucial for attracting new users into the ecosystem. The budget is clear and justified.

Hello, I'd like to know what criteria you use to select the projects you review?
Also, I'd like to know if all reviews are paid for by funds from the Polkadot treasury, or if projects that generate revenue pay extra for the reviews you perform?
Thank you very much
