Short description:
Over the past year, MengLong has produced 80 videos, 73 of them about Polkadot and its parachains. During this period, Menglong systematically introduced Polkadot to the Chinese community as well as 13 parachain projects, and created the Polkadot nomination pool (No. 71) and Kusama nomination pool (No. 145). Menglong is optimistic about the future development of Polkadot and sincerely popularize Polkadot knowledge and usage to users in the Chinese community. Menglong hopes to get the Polkadot treasury retroactive funding to enable me to keep on producing high-quality Polkadot ecosystem content in the future.

1.Proposal background:

There are about 1.3 billion native Chinese speakers in the world,it accounts for 16.3% of the world's total population. Currently, the penetration rate of cryptocurrency among the world’s total population is about 4%, but the penetration rate in China is only 1.4%. China has a large population but a low penetration rate of cryptocurrency, indicating that China is a market with great potential. Every project should attach importance to Chinese community.
Although China has great development potential, there are currently few Chinese content creators who systematically introduce Polkadot and its parachain projects. I systematically introduced Polkadot to the Chinese community as well as 13 parachain projects.I applied for Polkadot treasury retrospective funding for the large amount of Polkadot ecosystem content I have done in the past. This funding will help me continue to focus on the Polkadot ecosystem and help me create more high-quality Polkadot ecosystem content, and make greater contributions to the development of Polkadot Chinese community.

1. Work results:

In the past year,I made 73 promotional and educational videos about Polkadot ecosystem,and translated 9 Polkadot Blog articles. I posted videos to YouTube and Chinese video platforms (bilibili, Weibo and Zhihu), and I posted translated articles about Polkadot Blog to the Chinese knowledge platform Zhihu. During this period,I systematically introduced the Polkadot principle as well as 13 parachain projects to Chinese community, and created a Polkadot nomination pool (No. 71) and a Kusama nomination pool (No. 145), the current total staking amount of the Polkadot nomination pool exceeds 17,000 DOT.In addition, I also actively answer the questions users encounter when they participate in staking, governance and crowdloan.I help users better understand Polkadot, and promote the continuous development of Polkadot Chinese community.

My main job is creating videos related to Polkadot ecosystem. My main job is roughly divided into three parts:

(1) Systematically introduce Polkadot

(2) Introduce high-quality Polkadot parachain projects

(3) Quantitative evaluation of Polkadot validators and nomination pool staking services

I created Polkadot Nomination Pool No. 71 and Kusama Nomination Pool No. 145. In order to increase the staking income of DOT and KSM, I created a set of methods for quantitatively evaluating Polkadot/Kusama validators.Currently, on the 9th, 19th and 29th of every month, I will re-select and nominate validators. At the same time, on the 9th of every month,I will calculate the staking income of the previous month and report it to the nomination pool members.

In the past year or so, the cumulative views of my YouTube channel have reached 15,000, and the cumulative viewing time has been nearly 1,000 hours.

全球说中文的人大约有13亿，占据世界总人口的16.3%。目前，加密货币在世界总人口中的普及率约为4%，但是在中国的普及率仅为1.4%，中国人数众多但是加密货币的普及率较低，表明中国是一个极具潜力的市场，任何项目都不应该忽视中文社区的重要性。尽管中国具有极大的发展潜力，目前系统介绍波卡及其平行链项目的中文内容创作者较少。我申请波卡国库对我过去所作的大量宣传波卡生态的内容进行追溯资助，这笔资金有助于使我持续专注于波卡生态，有助于我创作出更多高质量的波卡生态内容，为波卡在中文社区的发展做出更大的贡献。

我创建了71号波卡提名池和145号Kusama提名池。为了提高波卡和KSM的质押收益，我自创了一套定量评估波卡验证人的方式。目前，每个月的9号，19号和29号，我都会重新筛选、提名验证人。同时，每个月9号都会统计上个月的质押收益并对提名池成员进行汇报。
