- Batman is stepping back from DotCodeSchool, a learning platform for PBA/PBA-X students.  
- The platform has over 500 users and is stable but needs active maintenance.

I’m committing **4 months** to **actively maintain, improve, and prepare DotCodeSchool for long-term community sustainability**.

My focus will be:

1. **Embed New Rust State Machine Video Tutorial (Month 1-2)**

2. **Codebase Refactor(Month 2-4)**
   * Restructure and clean the codebase to lower the barrier for contributors.
   * Improve documentation, standardize testing/linting, and ensure contributor onboarding is straightforward.

   * Keep dependencies up to date, fix bugs, ensure platform stability, and respond to community needs.

Delegates are challenging to choose and track, resulting in misaligned or inactive governance participation.
**Project DAVOS is an AI-powered governance assistant that helps Polkadot users match with the right delegate based on shared values (Ethos) and delegate voting history.**&#x20;
We are requesting $25,000 (in 2 milestones over 6 weeks) **to transform our mockup and validated concept into a working MVP**, enabling delegate-user matching, user profile generation, and governance insights through a functional interface.

**Problem:**
Delegation in OpenGov is technically simple, but practically difficult. Users are faced with a list of delegate addresses and **minimal context**. They must manually research forum threads, track participation, and guess alignment on critical issues such as treasury management, technical upgrades, or community priorities. As a result, many token holders either **delegate blindly, not at all, or to popular names without understanding their governance style.** This contributes to **low engagement and misaligned delegation**.

**What is Project DAVOS?**
Project DAVOS *(Decentralized Autonomous VOting System)* is an **AI-powered platform designed to enhance participation in Polkadot's OpenGov by making delegation smarter, more transparent and value-aligned.** Users define their **governance *Ethos*** (either through templates or natural language), and **DAVOS matches them to compatible delegates** using AI-generated profiles derived from historical voting behavior. It also offers proposal *Digests* and reasoning *Insights* to **reduce the time and complexity of staying informed**.

This is the **first iteration** of DAVOS. The long-term goal is to build a fully reliable, auditable governance agent to support both token holders and delegates across ecosystems.
DAVOS is not designed to replace governance discussions: rather, it strengthens them. It improves matchmaking between users and delegates to:

* Helps users understand delegate values, through analysis and insights from past actions and votes
* Makes delegates’ behavior and values easier to understand, helping them reach aligned supporters
* Enhance understanding of OpenGov trends and alignment

**Technical Design and Data Sources**
DAVOS uses top publicly available LLMs (like ChatGPT, Claude, DeepSeek) with a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) approach. This enables the system to generate reasoning and insights based on verifiable, current information, without needing private model training or fine-tuning.
To reduce hallucinations and improve reliability, DAVOS combines outputs from multiple models. This cross-model strategy increases the factual accuracy of delegate profiles, summaries, and alignment scores.

Data sources for DAVOS include onchain voting history and governance discussions from key platforms like the Polkadot Forum, Polkassembly, and Subsquare. We’re also aware that valuable governance discussions happen on less structured channels. These will be addressed in future iterations.

Since the full dataset is vast, the MVP will limit the number of sources and delegates analyzed to ensure quality and traceability. The focus will be on building accurate delegate profiles and meaningful user-delegate matches.

The MVP will initially run on a centralized backend for simplicity and speed of development. Once the MVP work is completed, we plan to evolve DAVOS toward a more secure and decentralized architecture using Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs). TEEs will allow us to prompt LLMs from a secure enclave, ensuring that prompts, outputs, and reasoning (when local LLMs are used) cannot be manipulated and indeed match the open-source offchain code logic. This will make DAVOS’s behaviour fully traceable, auditable, and resistant to tampering. By leveraging a distributed network of TEEs, we can eliminate central points of failure and provide cryptographic guarantees over delegate recommendations. These safeguards will also help mitigate potential manipulation attempts, such as third parties trying to influence the matching algorithm. Our team has deep experience with TEE-based secure compute and is well-positioned to implement this in the next development phase.

Accuracy and traceability are key. Delegate behavior shifts will be flagged via Digest or notifications, and alignment is inferred from contextual reasoning, not static formulas, making the system harder to game and more trustworthy.

The RegionX Hub is a platform that has received positive feedback and requests for improvements. This proposal aims to fund the development of features and improvements to enhance the value of the hub. The proposal focuses on creating an easy-to-use interface for managing Coretime for projects and addressing confusion about the Agile Coretime model. The hub identifies four types of users: existing teams with Polkadot projects, new project teams, Coretime resellers, and enthusiasts. The proposal includes creating user-specific dashboards and help centers, as well as other features like urgent renewals, auto-renewals, and improved transaction status tracking. ## Overview

With the newly deployed [RegionX Hub](https://hub.regionx.tech/), we have received very positive feedback so far, along with feature and improvement requests — some of which came from Parity and Fellowship members.

We fulfilled the smaller requests and covered the development costs using funds from our previous proposal. This proposal is intended to fund the development of features and improvements that would significantly enhance the overall value the RegionX Hub provides.

With recent incidents, such as failing to renew Coretime on time, it has become clear how important it is to offer an easy-to-use, intuitive interface for managing Coretime for projects. 

We still feel that the majority of the community remains confused about how the Agile Coretime model works, what it offers, and how it can be used for their own purposes. We aim to address this by providing a clear, easy-to-use UI with dynamic dashboards and help centers tailored to specific types of users.

We have identified the following four types of users who use the RegionX Hub:

* **Existing teams that already have a project on Polkadot:** These users are primarily interested in renewing their core in each sale. However, they may choose to purchase a new core from the sale if the price is significantly lower than renewing their existing one. This is why it’s important for them to track both the current state of the bulk sale and the secondary market.
* **New project teams:** Users interested in purchasing a core either from the bulk sale or the secondary market. On the secondary market, it's possible to purchase regions that are usable immediately — unlike on bulk sale, where users must wait for the sale to end, which takes up to 28 days. The secondary market also allows users to purchase only a portion of a core, which is ideal for projects that don't require the full resources a core provides.
* **Coretime resellers:** Users who purchase cores from the bulk sale and sell them on the secondary market for profit. They may also end up partitioning or interlacing the purchased region and selling it that way in the sale.
* **Enthusiast:** Interested in tracking data related to Coretime sales and projects deployed on Polkadot. These individuals can be regular enthusiasts, developers, or investors monitoring Polkadot-related data.

For each user type, we want to establish a help center that provides all the relevant information specific to that user. This way, users won’t be overwhelmed by all the information about Agile Coretime, but will instead see only the parts that are relevant to them.

Also, the user-specific dashboards will display components relevant to the selected user type.

With this proposal, we aim to cover the development costs of delivering major features and improvements requested by the community and identified internally as valuable additions to the RegionX Hub.

RegionX Hub – New Features & Improvements

The Gitorial VS Code Extension is a new tool that helps developers learn and build projects using step-by-step tutorials directly within Visual Studio Code. It was created to solve the problem of disjointed learning experiences in fast-paced ecosystems like Polkadot. The extension is integrated with Git, making it easy to follow each step and maintain accurate information. It also helps developers be more productive by giving them immediate access to language servers and code execution within the IDE.

The Gitorial VS Code Extension was built in collaboration with Shawn Tabrizi and Batman from DotCodeSchool. They are working on integrating the extension with their platform and planning future updates, like creating and editing tutorials directly in VS Code.

The proposal asks for funding to cover the initial development and launch of the extension, as well as minor improvements and bug fixes. The total cost is 1660 DOT, which is about $7,470. The money will be split between two proponents, with one receiving 1560 DOT and the other receiving 100 DOT. The hourly rate for the work is $90/hr, and the total time spent on the project is 83 hours.

Texas Blockchain Council: Re-up and continued presence for Polkadot

- The Spammening was a special event involving Amforc and Parity Technologies to test how well the Polkadot network can handle many transactions.
- This event included different phases and a big public test that showed strong performance of the Polkadot ecosystem.
- Before the main test, Amforc did other smaller tests on the Polkadot and Kusama networks.
- Amforc worked hard without getting paid during this project and is now asking for 45,000 USDT as a reward for their efforts.
- They helped design the structure of the event, prepared proposals, and coordinated with others to run the tests.
- Some problems were found during the tests, including issues with the network's ability to handle many transactions at the same time.

Edgetributor SubDAO has selected Oak Security as the auditing firm. The audit will cost 34400 USD, with 5 researchers involved, and payment will be made in USDC on Ethereum. Paul Miller is the developer behind @noble packages used in various web3 ecosystems. Oak Security provides security services in the web3 space, with 52 qualified security engineers and researchers. The micro-sr25519 package is important for Polkadot ecosystem security and performance benefits. Edgetributor SubDAO will represent Oak Security in OpenGov and other operational duties, and will be responsible for the custody of the USDC payment. # **Overview**

The [micro-sr25519 package](https://github.com/paulmillr/micro-sr25519) developed by Paul Miller as an extension to @noble/curves to support the Polkadot ecosystem is now ready for the auditing phase. For this phase, Paul suggested to go with a new firm other than the Cure53 as most of his work is audited by Cure53. So we (Edgetributor SubDAO) explored multiple auditing firms for the last couple of weeks and selected 3 firms for the final evaluation. We then reviewed the scopes and offerings of those 3 firms based on the backgrounds of the auditing researchers they offered, their experience, stack familiarity and total number of researchers proposed in the scope, Polkadot ecosystem familiarity, low level JS/TS experience and cryptographic curves familiarity. Oak Security firm is the one which turned out to be superior compared to the other offerings in this specific case. # **About Oak Security**

[Oak Security GmbH](https://www.oaksecurity.io/) provides security services in the web3 space, such as threat modeling, penetration testing, security audits, and fuzz testing while following a multidisciplinary approach in their services.  
Based in Munich but operating worldwide, they currently use a pool of 52 highly qualified security engineers and researchers. They operate under two brands: The Solidified brand focuses on EVM-based blockchains, while Oak Security caters to a wider blockchain ecosystem, with departments focusing on the security of Rust and Go source code, low-level protocol security, and infrastructure security, which goes beyond the realm of traditional smart contract security.

# **Importance**

Although many of the Polkadot ecosystem tools/products already started adopting the micro-sr25519 package, Paul Miller himself advocated to get the package audited before using it in any production deployments. Currently there is an open [pull request to switch from @polkadot/wasm-crypto to micro-sr25519 package in PolkadotJS suite](https://github.com/polkadot-js/common/pull/1971) for ecosystem-wide security and performance benefits.

# **Edgetributor SubDAO’s role**

What started as a quest to have the development of a missing component required for our project, have come a long way to benefit the whole Polkadot ecosystem. Edgetributor SubDAO as the curator of this proposal will be representing Oak Security in OpenGov and in other operational duties. Edgetributor SubDAO will be responsible for the custody of the USDC (in a multisig) which needs to be disbursed to the Oak Security in two mentioned phases. Oak Security also requires a legal entity to sign the contract and for the same purpose Edgetributor SubDAO will utilise the legal entity of Edgeware DAO Association (Swiss Association) to save the costs and time required to involve PCF.  
The entire amount corresponding to this proposal (except the refundable bridging buffer) will be going to the auditing entity Oak Security. In this whole process, Edgetributor SubDAO or Edgeware DAO or any Edgeware contributors are not getting financially benefited by any means. We are interested in exploring the BD bounty for our time and efforts contributed so far, especially for the screening of the auditing firms, comparative analysis of their offerings and follow-ups.

MinIO is a high-performance, S3-compatible object storage that can be used on public clouds, Kubernetes, private clouds, and the edge. Acurast, a decentralized verifiable compute network powered by phones, is partnering with MinIO to provide decentralized storage for Polkadot-native projects and enterprises. The main goal of this partnership is to create an MVP integration of MinIO in Acurast's decentralized compute environment, allowing developers to access MinIO through Acurast's native P2P layer. This will include creating storage buckets, configurable access control, benchmarking replications and costs, and providing detailed developer documentation and examples. Acurast's network uses billions of smartphones to run secure applications on decentralized infrastructure without compromising speed or privacy.

Decentralized object storage that seamlessly slots into place, replacing centralized solutions, is still hard to come by. MinIO ([https://min.io/),](https://min.io/\),) a high-performance and S3-compatible object storage, is already an established standard available on every public cloud, every Kubernetes distribution, private cloud, and the edge.

Decentralized High Performance Object Storage (MinIO)

Polkadot had a problem with its software update, which stopped three staking accounts from getting rewards. A proposal has been made to give these accounts the rewards they missed out on. The proposal looks at how much money was in the accounts when the rewards stopped, how many times they didn't get rewards, and how much the rewards would have been worth during that time. Here are the details for each account:

**SUMMARY**

The Polkadot runtime upgrade to v1.1.2 introduced an unintentional breaking change that prevented three staking accounts from receiving staking rewards across multiple eras. This proposal seeks to reimburse these accounts for the rewards they should have earned for backing validators and securing the network.

The process was detailed by core developer gpestana in multiple articles compiled in the following Polkadot Forum post:

The referendum could not be proposed until the runtime upgrade to v1.4.0, which corrected the balance state of one of the affected accounts ([PR 538](https://github.com/polkadot-fellows/runtimes/pull/538)).

-   2024-02-19 Breaking change introduced in runtime upgrade v1.1.2
-   2024-03-15 Hotfix on runtime upgrade to v1.1.3.
-   2024-10-15 Runtime upgrade to v1.3.3 set the correct ledger/stash status.
-   2025-02-26 The balance issue for one of the accounts was corrected on runtime v.1.4.0.
