THE PROPOSAL
After months of preparation, we are proud to announce that the second largest ridesharing app in the USA, LYFT Inc., has agreed to run Polkadot advertisements for both Mobile In-App Campaigns and on Digital Displays that sit atop the famous Yellow Taxis of New York City.
With a resident count of 1.64M (Manhattan) / 8.33M (5 Boroughs) and a forecasted visitor count of 69.6M per year, New York City becomes one of the most sought after places in the world for advertising spend, and we are ready to place Polkadot in the centre of it all.
THE CAMPAIGN
This campaign will be split into two parts: Mobile In-App & On-Taxi Display.
The Ads will run simultaneously for the entire duration of the 3 Month contract.
Tracking & insights will be available from In-App Ads from over 1M+ LYFT users.
Mobile In-App
- 3 Months in Duration
- 1x Static Placement
- 12% Share of Time
Ad clicks open in a separate window and remain in the browser even after the ride has ended.
Statistics show passengers spend over 4 minutes per ride on their mobile phone.
Using In-App location targeting, exposure will be amplified for areas with a high concentration of tech & finance professionals.
On-Taxi Display
- 3 Months in Duration
- 1x Animation Across 900 Digital Screens
- 12-14 Seconds Per Animation
- 25% Share of Time
Using LYFT company reported metrics, we expect to land over 20M+ visual impressions from On-Taxi Displays.
Both the Digital Ad & Animated Ad will be created by the professional design agency, Algo SRL who we have previously collaborated with in previous projects.
Upon completion of the campaign, we will have an option to renew based on availability.

THE ASK
We are requesting a total of 31,352 DOT ($189,680 USD) at a price of $6.05 (WEEKLY MA 200) to cover the following:
● AD Campaign - 24,795 DOT
● Graphic Design - 1254 DOT
● Agency Fee - 3907 DOT
● Maintenance Fee - 781 DOT
● Incidentals / Misc - 615 DOT
Due to market volatility and hard costs of the advertising campaign, we are requesting funds below market price to offset any heavy drawdowns, which puts the contract at risk.
Any funds sold above the price of $6.05 will be returned.
Any funds sold below the price of $6.05 a tip request will be made to balance the difference.
CONCLUSION & NEXT STEPS
Upon approval of this proposal, funds will be immediately converted to USD / EUR in order to pay vendors for their services.
For any reason the project does not move forward, distributed funds will be returned where applicable.
