Current State and Retroactive Work on Remarker:
Over the past six months, Remarker has been developed into a robust NFT marketplace on Polkadot, featuring:
- NFT Swaps: Users can easily trade NFTs between one another NFTs.
- NFT Purchases with Stablecoins: Support for purchasing NFTs using stablecoins like USDC and USDT.
- Auto Teleport: Simplifies the transfer of DOT tokens between Polkadot relay chain and Asset Hub.
- New UI for Polkadot NFT Ecosystem: A redesigned user interface enhancing user experience and interaction within the Polkadot NFT ecosystem.
Feature Additions Before Plaza Upgrade:
As we approach the Plaza upgrade, several new features and improvements are planned:
- Support for NFT Interactions on Asset Hub:
- Enable interactions using ETH and other EVM-compatible chain tokens, facilitated by Snowbridge.
2 .UI and UX Enhancements:
- Continuously improving the user interface and user experience to ensure a seamless and intuitive platform for all users.
3 . Remint Tool:
- Public Mint: Allowing anyone to mint NFTs from a collection.
- Issuer Mode: Only the collection's issuer can mint NFTs.
- Whitelist Mode: Only pre-approved users can mint NFTs.
- This tool will enable it's users to pre-sign large chunks of NFT collection metadata and mint details, streamlining the minting process and providing flexibility similar to Ethereum's NFT minting smart contracts.

5 . Launching an NFT Collection for Creating Initial Hype for Polkadot NFTs
Launching a free mint NFT collection serves as an early-stage incentive to attract new users to the Polkadot Asset Hub and increase the number of NFT users on Polkadot. This strategy helps create initial excitement and engagement within the community, encouraging users to start trading and interacting within the Polkadot NFT ecosystem.
6 . nftFractionalization (Live on kusama Asset Hub)
The nftFractionalization pallet allows an NFT to be divided into smaller pieces, enabling fractional ownership. Here's how it works:
1 . Fractionalize NFT:
-
When an NFT is fractionalized, it is locked, and new tokens representing fractions of the NFT are issued.
-
Each token represents a percentage of ownership of the NFT.
2 . Distribute Ownership:
-
These fractional tokens can be sold or distributed, allowing multiple people to own a share of the NFT.
-
For example, a $30,000 Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT can be divided into smaller fractions, making it more accessible.
3 . Ownership Rights:
-
The person holding the majority of the fractional tokens has the controlling interest and effectively owns 100% of the NFT.
-
As more tokens are distributed, the original owner's percentage of ownership decreases.
4 . Unify NFT:
-
To regain full ownership, one must buy back all the fractional tokens.
-
Once all tokens are reacquired, the NFT can be unified, unlocking the full ownership rights.

Open-Source Repository and Founder Information:
Remarker is an open-source project, and the repository can be found here.
About the Founder:
Ashutosh Singh is the creator and founder of Remarker. He has been active in the Polkadot NFT ecosystem since 2021. Initially an artist on Kusama, Ashutosh shifted his focus to developing tools and platforms within the Polkadot ecosystem, including creating governance Twitter bots for both Polkadot and Kusama, funded by the Kusama treasury. These bots can be followed at:
Ashutosh's dedication to enhancing the Polkadot NFT space led to the creation of Remarker. He is committed to expanding the Remarker team to further innovate and enhance the platform. his X profile: X
This proposal seeks retroactive funding to support the completed development work and future enhancements, ensuring that Remarker remains at the forefront of the Polkadot NFT ecosystem.
Please consider verifying your on-chain identity. The reason for this, is that a lack of a verified ID, makes it difficult for all proposals to prove on-chain and to people without first hand knowledge of the team, whether or not they are legitimate. Also, it perpetuates the risk of unknown malicious actors pretending to be other characters with a better reputation in future referendums.
We know that we are in the middle of the People's chain migration but it is expected for all proposals to have a verified on-chain identity.
As a positive we want to highlight that this proposer has already delivered 1 successful Kusama referendum with the OpenGov bots at only 17 years old (according to the spaces and public information).
So we don't want you to feel discouraged by the opposition and potential drama of this referendum and we rather would like for you to take the feedback of other DVs and whales alike and ask what they would like to see first in order to approve your referenda.
As far as we can tell, if this proposal had a smaller ask amount, voters, ourselves included would feel more compelled to vote in favor of the retroactive development of remarker as well as the future support and upgrades. So don't be discouraged and consider asking other voters for feedback privately or through their available channels.
Best of luck and keep on coding.
