Brief

Hello community, Polkadot Staking Dashboard (deployed to https://staking.polkadot.network), is a project that has been managed by Ross Bulat at Parity Technologies for the last 18 months. It has received over 1.2 million page visits over the past 12 months, and users spend over 1 minute on average in the app. It is the premier staking app for Polkadot, offering a feature-rich interface covering both solo staking and nomination pools, with Polkadot, Kusama and Westend support. **Intending to supercharge Polkadot consumer apps, this proposal aims to transition the Polkadot Staking Dashboard development and surrounding efforts into a separate entity, external from Parity Technologies, and continue the maintenance and growth of the staking dashboard and surrounding UX products.**

Focuses for the 6-Month Period

Maintenance and new features: General maintenance to the product codebase and new features to be added in the time period.
Onboard dashboard components to Polkadot Cloud: Increasing the number of re-usable high impact components for Polkadot dApps.
Explore next-generation API support with Polkadot API, an upcoming alternative to Polkadot JS API.
Improved testing: Onboarding of unit and integration tests for critical app logic.
Project Management and Mentorship: General management tasks and mentorship for team and skill growth.
