Is a Unified Polkadot Dashboard the Missing Piece?

This post is to gauge community interest and need for a unified Polkadot Dashboard. Right now, crucial data is scattered and disorganized leading to a frustrating experience for investors, developers and everyday users. The problem manifests in different ways:

— Incomplete Picture: Understanding Polkadot's true health and growth trajectory requires manually piecing together information from multiple sources like block explorers, staking dashboards, and project websites. This is time-consuming and prone to misinterpretation.

— Lack of Competitive Analysis: It's difficult to effectively compare Polkadot's performance against other Layer-1 blockchains. Analysts and investors need to hunt for disparate data across various platforms, hindering informed decision-making.

— User Confusion: The abundance of technical data and complex charts on existing platforms can be overwhelming. This creates a barrier to entry for newcomers and those seeking a simple understanding of Polkadot's activity and potential.

The Solution: A Unified Polkadot Dashboard

Our proposed dashboard offers a much-needed solution to the scattered state of Polkadot data. Here's how the MVP will directly address the challenges outlined:

— Centralized Hub: The dashboard becomes a single-source destination for the most important Polkadot metrics. Users will gain a holistic view of the network's health, including staking figures, transaction activity, and parachain performance.

— Comparative Clarity: By integrating key metrics from a few select competing blockchains, the dashboard enables quick comparisons with Polkadot. This puts Polkadot's growth and position within the broader crypto landscape into immediate context.

— Visual Simplicity: We prioritize intuitive charts, graphs, and summaries. This ensures that the data is easily understood by a wide audience, from experienced crypto enthusiasts to those new to the Polkadot ecosystem.

Potential data sources: Reliable APIs for both Polkadot-specific data (Subscan, Polkassembly) and external blockchain data (Messari, CoinGecko, etc.). It will be a site similar to Artemis but specific to Polkadot and its parachains.

We'd like to gather community feedback on whether such a project would be helpful and what metrics people would like to see the most.
