Context: The Polkadot Treasury currently holds 9,000,000 MYTH tokens, received in exchange for DOT as part of a strategic initiative. Recent on-chain activity indicates that institutional holders may be offloading MYTH via DCA strategies. While we do not wish to engage in a "chicken game" where both sides rush to sell and destroy mutual value, we must act responsibly to preserve the Treasury’s assets.
Proposal: Initiate a measured and recurring sale of MYTH tokens, beginning with:
1,000,000 MYTH (≈11% of holdings) to be sold gradually over time.
Sales split 50/50 between DOT and USDT, combining liquidity and ecosystem alignment.
Long-Term Strategy: Authorize the Treasury to sell up to 11% of its MYTH holdings annually, for the next five years. This creates predictability and avoids panic-driven decisions while maximizing long-term utility.
Narrative: This is a proactive and non-aggressive move. The goal is not to signal lack of confidence, but to ensure that the Treasury’s MYTH exposure is managed responsibly, in line with evolving market conditions and ecosystem needs.
