Introduction

What is Mimir?

Mimir is the ultimate multisig wallet built for enterprises and advanced Web3 users. With Mimir, users can manage their multichain operations in a secure, efficient and cost-effective manner all while enjoying a unified user experience. A 1st winner of the 2023 Polkadot Asia Summer Hackathon in Application Track and 2nd runner-up in the 2023 Polkadot Winter Hackathon in Ecosystem Developer Tools Track, Mimir has evolved into a fully-fledged product with expansive network integration and increasing user adoption.

Ecosystem Fit: Mimir - The Smarter Infrastructure for the Polkadot Ecosystem

Our roadmap for H2 2025 is grounded in a clear product strategy focused on one mission: serving Polkadot's multisig users better. All upcoming developments align with this strategic vision, which centers around three pillars:

Simplicity as Ecosystem Alignment

The Asset Hub migration signified a momental milestone for the Polkadot ecosystem, moving all user interactions previously fragmented between the Relaychain and other system chains into one single destination, thus drastically simplifying user experience. Aligning with this idea, Mimir aims to become the core component of Polkadot’s account abstraction layer with several key initiatives:

Key Initiatives:

  • Minimal Relaychain (Asset Hub Migration): Upgrade the Mimir app to be composable with the migrated features, and provide essential guidance to ensure a smooth migration experience for multisig/proxy users.
  • Chain Abstraction: Build core chain abstraction features to simplify cross-parachain operations, letting users focus on actions rather than switching networks e.g., Omni UX and remote proxy.
  • AI Integration: In line with the Web3 and Polkadot ecosystems’ growing adoption of AI (examples include DV using AI and Polkassembly’s Klara), Mimir aims to deliver a smarter, more intuitive, and interactive user experience through intelligent automation and conversational design with our new AI Agent Mimo.

Security as a Core Priority

As a multisig tool, security is at the heart of Mimir’s value. This goes hand in hand with the ecosystem’s major focus on security as shown in the infrastructure design. We continuously invest in protecting user assets, ensuring service reliability, and evolving our security model alongside new features. Our efforts include:

  • Cross-chain transaction simulation to preview potential risks
  • Real-time alerts and error reporting
  • Strict vetting of third-party integrations and dependency boundaries
  • Cross-platform transaction recovery to prevent asset loss

Adoption as Feature Driver

As a user-facing app, we plan and deploy features based on user needs, pain points and feedback. Therefore, user adoption is a crucial element in evaluating our success. By making the multisig experience as smooth and intuitive as using a single-signature account, we attract more users for Mimir and that translates to more users for the Polkadot ecosystem.

We achieve this through:

  • Frictionless UX with AI capabilities
  • Partnership with third-party dApps to integrate Mimir SDK
  • Continuous expansion of product functionality to simplify common actions for institutional and DAO users
  • Enhancement of operational responsiveness with greater focus on chain updates
