To the members of the Polkadot Fellowship,
I would like to express my profound interest in joining the Polkadot Fellowship, motivated by my extensive background in blockchain technology, cryptography, and decentralized systems. With a rich tapestry of experience spanning 27 years in software engineering, IT, and security, I have been at the forefront of the blockchain revolution since its early stages. My journey into this transformative realm began in 2010 as an early Bitcoin user, quickly evolving as I embraced Ethereum during its proof of concept days with Aleth0 in late 2013 and early 2014. My contributions to Ethereum include some work on cpp-ethereum and go-ethereum, authoring the ruby-ethereum library, and marking my place in history with the first-ever transaction on the Ethereum Network, visible at Block 46147 and verified through ENS
My tenure as the CTO of Digix, where we developed DigixDAO and pioneered one of the first on-chain ICOs on Ethereum, further cements my commitment and contributions to the ecosystem. Under my leadership, Digix not only brought Ethereum to Singapore but also initiated the largest Ethereum meetup group in Asia, significantly contributing to the regional blockchain landscape.
Since 2020, I have been a proud DOT holder, immersing myself in the vibrant Polkadot community and its revolutionary technology.
My dedication to continuous learning and development is evident through my avid consumption of literature on blockchains, game theory, and cryptography. Over the last 8 months, I have delved deeply into the Substrate and ink! codebases, keenly observing every update and advancing my understanding of the latest XCM design. This journey reflects my commitment to staying at the cutting edge of blockchain technology and my desire to contribute meaningfully to its evolution.
The purpose of my application to the Polkadot Fellowship stems from a deep-seated belief in the Polkadot vision and a desire to contribute my extensive knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm towards making this vision a reality. The opportunity to collaborate with some of the brightest and most passionate developers in this space sounds very exciting to me. I am eager to both share my insights and learn from the collective wisdom of the entire Fellowship, fostering innovation and pushing the boundaries of what is possible.
In closing, I am fully committed to contributing to the Polkadot ecosystem and eagerly anticipate the opportunity to engage with the Fellowship. Together, I believe we can drive the Polkadot vision forward, creating a more interconnected, secure, and decentralized digital future.
My commitment will embody the pledge asked of all Fellowship members:
Thank you for your consideration of my application.
Sincerely,
Anthony Eufemio
