Thank you very much for proposing an open-ended pathway for acknowledging and supporting the "little (unknown) hands" that are advocating for this ecosystem day-in day-out. 💓
Sounds good and actually needed as community is growing and taking on roles to support the ecosystem.
I think is a small step on changing polkadot Culture for being extractive to being participative, from takers to givers.
A big aye with my small 1 dot.
It is a breakthrough to have an initiative coming from W3F to show a path aligned with the values and interests of the Polkadot and Kusama ecosystem
It is AYE for me and I would like to know more about the Agent Program
hello Bill,
I would like to know how the community can to collaborate with W3F to share learning lessons based on past experiences, can be the forum a good channel for communication?
thanks =)

This is exactly what’s needed so that the talent in the community stops being scattered and can be channeled towards real impact. Many of us want to contribute, but without a clear structure, we all end up rowing in different directions.
The Polkadot Agents Program sounds like the missing piece: defined roles, specialized tracks, and fast, transparent reimbursement processes. That’s crucial so no one hesitates because of logistics or costs, especially builders, speakers, or content creators who are investing their own time and resources.
I think it’s very smart not to focus on salaries but instead on non-monetary rewards: experiences, recognition, NFTs, access to exclusive trainings. That strengthens the sense of community and belonging without losing the volunteer spirit.
Also, adding clear metrics and accountability processes is fundamental if we want to professionalize the ecosystem and maintain trust, both from the community and external stakeholders.
I’m fully in favor of getting this rolling as soon as possible. Polkadot needs agile, professional, and human structures to grow and seriously compete. I’m ready to jump in and contribute wherever needed!
This is the way forward. Thank you, Bill, for the clear and strategic vision you presented. My YES vote is already registered here and through the DOT Americas DAO proxy.

We believe this is a highly timely and forward-thinking proposal that addresses a critical gap in the ecosystem — the lack of clear contributor entry paths.
The program strikes a thoughtful balance between flexibility and professionalism:
• Instead of offering fixed salaries, it provides support through reimbursements, recognition, and opportunities to contribute to real activities with meaningful value.
• It defines clear “tracks of responsibility” (content, events, developers, speakers, etc.), encouraging skill development while lowering the barrier to entry for newcomers.
• It also emphasizes KPIs, codes of conduct, and internal feedback mechanisms to help build a more accountable and impactful community culture.
We especially agree with this key point from the proposal:
“Now is the time to create a cohesive, professional, and inspiring structure that truly supports contributors and drives long-term impact around a shared vision.”
Compared to direct compensation models, this contribution-driven, fast-response, and collaboration-focused approach feels much more aligned with the needs of the current ecosystem — and is far more likely to be sustainable long-term.
Looking forward to seeing the program go live in September!

Funds will not come from the Treasury, but from Web3 Foundation. Legally, we must know to whom we are giving funds before giving them out. This is the way all W3F programs - e.g. Decentralized Voices, Decentralized Futures, Grants, etc. - have always worked.
JAM DAO has voted AYE on this proposal to launch the Polkadot Agents Program.
We believe this initiative addresses a real gap: many passionate contributors have struggled to find a clear, supported path into the ecosystem. This program offers a lightweight, flexible way for them to plug in, with practical support for things like travel and events, and clear expectations around professionalism.
We envision it to be one that will give real contributors the backing they need to keep showing up and making an impact without necessarily needing to go through OpenGov.
We’re glad to support it.

This proposal fills a critical gap in the current ecosystem — the lack of a clear contributor participation pathway.
Compared to simply issuing salaries, this “contribution-driven + rapid support + fair collaboration” model better aligns with the ecosystem’s current needs and is far more likely to remain sustainable in the long run.
