The preimage for Ref. 1303 was pulled during confirmation to avoid payout of AssetHub assets to a Relay Chain Proxy.
This ref intends to rectify the payout approved by Ref. 1303.
Full explanation as well as the original Ref can be found here.
A: A Relay Chain Proxy as beneficiary of Asset Hub assets would mean the assets were inaccessible. Jay Chrawnna has committed seppuku for the error.
A: You can verify it here - pulled hours before the end of the confirmation period.
A: Pure Proxy Replication will solve this UX issue however it is unlikely to reach prod for many months which would render the assets useless until then.
A: While such a ref has recently been submitted for several other projects caught in this UX snare, we decided it would be unwise to tie the root track for a single instance. It would also take months during which time the assets would be useless.
A problem occurred with a proposal called Ref. 1303, where a Relay Chain Proxy was set to receive AssetHub assets, making them inaccessible. To fix this, a new proposal is needed. The original proposal can be found here. The preimage was pulled before the confirmation period ended, and you can verify it here. Waiting for Pure Proxy Replication to solve this issue is not ideal, as it will take many months. Submitting a Root Ref to replicate the proxy was also considered, but it would take too long and tie up resources. Voting on this new proposal will help fix the payout issue approved in Ref. 1303.
Dear @The Kusamarian ,
Thank you for your proposal. We approve the payout as decided in referendum #1303. The details can be found in our internal voting.
Good luck,
