Background
Artemis Analytics, the most trusted data provider for leading US based investors such as Pantera, Dragonfly, Grayscale, VanEck, Coinfund, Franklin Templeton, Fidelity, and many more, offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to enhance protocol visibility within the broader crypto community and among our institutional investors. Our institutional-grade data supports key decision-making for major stakeholders, both internally and externally. Moreover, Artemis is committed to developing products that serve as free public goods, thereby increasing transparency and visibility within the Polkadot community and among institutional investors, and fostering potential investment opportunities within the ecosystem.
What?
Artemis will propose to OpenGov that $200k of treasury be spent to integrate Polkadot Parachins into the Artemis Chain Compare and Plugins product and for Artemis to build out Custom Project Analytics pages for 10 parachains to be determined and prioritized by Parity Tech, the Polkadot community and Artemis.
Why?
With Polkadot 2.0 coming out soon, and JAM to follow, it behooves the Polkadot community to share insightful data with as many liquid token funds and investors as possible so that they can fairly allocate more capital into the ecosystem. Artemis, being at the center of all the leading US and global liquid token funds’ and institutional investors’ workflows, is in a unique position to help the Polkadot community with this key task and to educate investors on the most important KPIs for the Polkadot ecosystem. By working with Artemis to integrate Polkadot Parachain data, the Polkadot community will be able to get the Polkadot Ecosystem’s data story (that spans 20+ parachains) across to a wide range of retail and institutional investors.

Estimated Integration Timeline:
Integration with Parity Data Lake — 10 days
Key Metrics for all 10 parachains — 15 days
Project Pages — 15 days
Integration to chain Compare — 10 days
Integration to Artemis Plugins — 10 days
Total — 60 days or ~2.5 - 3 months
Just to clarify, you’re asking for $200K for about 60 days of work, which comes out to ~$3,333 per day. But from what I can tell, this integration primarily seems to benefit your company more than Polkadot, so it feels a bit unfair to expect Polkadot to fund this initiative.
Realistically, your company will likely need to incorporate Polkadot data regardless—especially with JAM on the horizon, where investors will almost certainly expect to see DOTk metrics included in your offering. So, framing this as though Polkadot needs this to pass more than the other way around seems a bit off.
Going to vote NAY simply because your company should be footing the bill here, not vice versa.
Also, small note—most people are calling them rollups now, not parachains.
