One of the most important tools in the ecosystem is requesting significantly less funding than other simpler and less-used tools. That shows me how serious you are. Strong AYE.

Hi,

Just for the record, some readers were confused about the use of "parachains" to talk about "system chains".

2025 Q1–Q2 Basic Service Fee — Ensuring uninterrupted, high-quality operations of Subscan across the Polkadot, Westend, and **associated parachain networks.**

It would be maybe more appropriate to clarify by using "system chains".
"Parachains" is usually used for commercial chains (Hydration, Bifrost, Moonbeam...) but not the system chains (even if a system chain is also a parachain).

Just a detail here :)

Dear Proposer,

Thank you for your proposal. Our first vote on this proposal is AYE.

The Medium Spender track requires 50% quorum (at least 4 aye votes) and simple majority of non-abstain votes according to our voting policy v0.2, and any referendum in which the majority of members vote abstain receives an abstain vote. This proposal has received four aye and zero nay votes from eight available members. Below is a summary of our members' comments:

Voters supported the funding proposal with a clear consensus that Subscan remained indispensable to the Polkadot ecosystem. One voter clarified their stance after a correction, aligning with previous comments in favor of Subscan’s critical role, while another emphasized its essential nature in maintaining reliable ecosystem services. They agreed with the proposal’s rationale to secure continued operational and developmental support, which aimed to cover necessary costs across multiple networks and enhance overall performance. Their votes reflected confidence in Subscan’s ability to provide transparent, accurate data, thereby reinforcing its position as a fundamental component of the ecosystem’s infrastructure.

The full discussion can be found in our internal voting.

My first vote is AYE because Subscan is core infrastructure the most of the ecosystem depends on. It keeps networks indexed and usable for builders, validators, and governance participants, while continuing to add helpful features. The funding ask here also seems reasonable given the scope of work delivered imo.

TruthDAO Vote: AYE

Subscan is one of the most widely used blockchain explorers in the Polkadot ecosystem, providing developers, validators, parachain teams, governance participants, and the broader community with reliable on-chain data. Its infrastructure underpins governance transparency, cross-chain interoperability, and real-time data accuracy, playing a key role in ecosystem decision-making and growth.

The requested funding is transparent and reasonable, and we believe it deserves support.

Le Nexus voted AYE!

Subscan remains a piece of core infrastructure for Polkadot and Westend. Reliable indexing, transparent data, and continuous improvements make it indispensable for developers, validators, and governance participants. We strongly support this funding request while welcoming the commitment to adjust Westend-related costs as the ecosystem evolves.
