JUST Final Retroactive Treasury Request

Background

This follows three previously approved treasury requests covering December 2022 through June 2025. The proposal was prepared in early January 2026 and shared with key stakeholders at that time. W3F raised concerns about the rate structure and requested alignment with key stakeholders before submission. We spent the following months working through that process. Hence, the delay was structural, not evasive.

What this covers

Governance and OpenGov operations across Polkadot and Kusama: treasury coordination, runtime upgrade support, emergency governance interventions, bounty maintenance, ecosystem map maintenance, and general ecosystem coordination. What changed from the original draft

Two things:

The 2026 forward funding component has been removed entirely. Going forward, coordination work is funded through the Fellowship Secretary Collective. This is the final retroactive request under the JUST Ventures GmbH structure. No further treasury requests are planned.

We have voluntarily removed the corporate tax component from the calculation rather than passing it to the treasury. The amount requested reflects the net cost of delivered work.

JUST Ventures GmbH asked for $127,587.55 for governance work on Polkadot and Kusama from July 2024 to June 2025. They helped with treasury coordination, runtime upgrades, and emergency governance. This is their last request. They removed taxes and future plans.
