PolkaWorld vote aye! We believe this is meaningful both in the short term and the long term. All the questions we raised have been discussed in the public Telegram group, and I have copied them here for the community's reference.

1. What kind of benefits will this proposal bring to the Polkadot ecosystem?

This is the opportunity for Polkadot to help build the specifications of how the CBDC will operate, but the biggest focus is in the interoperability aspect.

Polkadot will have the first mover advantage on attracting liquidity from the CBDC. A lot of web2-related Parachains will leverage A LOT this integration, like Kona Finance, Agrotoken and Bitgreen.

In our BD meetings with enterprises, they usually asks "If I have a Parachain, would I be able to connect with the CBDC in the future when it launches?"

2. Who else from the Polkadot team (Parity or Web3 Foundation) will be attending these meetings except you mentioned Ambassador and validators? What is the purpose of attending these meetings?

There's a limit of people and they also have to speak fluent Portuguese, we went with 2 because one technical person that worked at Parity and one social skilled educator, both with vast experience in Polkadot is a great mix.

Our roles will be mostly guiding the development, for example helping present the right documentations, technologies available, what works and what doesn't work, advices on technical or legal problems they may face if they chose X or Y route, etc. etc. Occasionally we'll also be attending events with regulators and government entities.

3. What kind of product can the Polkadot community expect after 12 months? When do you anticipate the Polkadot ecosystem will truly begin to enjoy the first-mover advantage from CBDC liquidity?

We'll have the Proof of Concept of how to integrate a private BCDC with Polkadot ready. This is a long-term strategy for 2025/2026, but this partnership has immediate consequences. More web2 businesses in LATAM will be willing to join Polkadot given this growth opportunity for the future, and it really shows that Polkadot is on the path with regulators, compared to our 'competitors' like Cosmos.

4. So after this proposal, which is 12 months later, will you be applying for another proposal for development in 2025? I think a good way to gain community support for your long-term strategy is to emphasize the assistance this private BCDC provides to the Polkadot community and to the parachains.

For the CBDC project, maybe we won't need more funding after this one :) By 2025, our relationship with the government will be better, and they will develop trust in what we are proposing. This means funding as well because, at this moment, we are one of many options in their eyes, so there's a risk for them.

And I definitely agree. I'll list the value for Polkadot in closing this partnership in the proposal.
