Despite the challenges, to make the event happen we had to act quickly and funded the whole event from our pockets. **Summary**

KusaMint is a development kit for NFT artists, creators and the whole Dotsama community in general. It provides different tools to mint and manage NFTs with ease.
We have successfully reached all milestones set in our previous proposal that became [Motion 573](https://kusama.polkassembly.io/motion/573).  

This proposal aims to receive funding that will allow us to offer Dotsama NFT community new functionality and expand to new NFT standards.

We have launched this proposal on $KSM OpenGov ([Referenda 168](https://kusama.polkassembly.io/referenda/168)) with >80% approval rate until it was rejected through one whale vote (HACN) despite having almost 3 times more people voting "Aye". ### Proposal context

The beneficiary and implementer of this proposal is the Thomson Reuters Foundation (TRF). Every.org are the proposer, supporting TRF to exchange any DOT granted to US dollars in order to fund the pilot training programme that aims to “Build a better understanding of blockchain across mainstream global media”.


TRF is an independent charity, registered in the UK and the USA (as TRF INC) we work to advance media freedom, foster more inclusive economies, and promote human rights. Through news, media development, free legal assistance and convening initiatives, we combine our unique services to drive systemic change. We use the combined power of journalism and the law to build global awareness of critical issues faced by humanity, inspire collective leadership, and help shape a prosperous world where no one is left behind. We believe that societies around the world should be free, fair and informed.


Following an introductory meeting and Web3 Foundation relationship scoping workshop in Zug (27th July 2022), TRF are proposing a strategic partnership, which will aim to build a more accurate and deeper understanding of Web3 and blockchain technologies across audiences who are not familiar with it and who are exposed to more traditional narratives (e.g. cryptocurrencies facilitate illegal activities and pollute the environment). The aim of the partnership is to educate non-crypto audiences and journalists on a global scale to better understand the fast-evolving blockchain ecosystem (For example, the downfall of FTX, a news story that went mainstream, involving politicians and celebrities. Many journalists struggled to report on this incident accurately, due to their limited knowledge of the crypto ecosystem and one of its largest exchanges.) and its potential applications beyond decentralised finance (DeFi).


TRF proposes to launch the partnership with a pilot programme to scope, develop and test a new training programme that responds to this aim. The pilot will be delivered iteratively in collaboration with the Web3 Foundation to achieve a robust and needs-driven training methodology that can be effectively scaled in anticipated future phases of the partnership.

Building a better understanding of blockchain across mainstream global media

We are submitting a proposal for retroactive funding for [polkashots.io](https://polkashots.io) for the months of January-April 2023. Following this date, the service will be terminated. Per [developer guidelines](https://forum.polkadot.network/t/community-bootnodes-and-snapshot-providers/630), we want to invite validators to switch to [Warp Sync](https://substrate.stackexchange.com/questions/5855/is-grandpa-warp-sync-the-recommended-method-for-syncing-a-node/5858#5858).

Polkashots was primarily developed as an internal tool for our own usage. We made it available to all, becoming the first such service in existence, in early 2021. 

We have funded this service alternatively with Polkadot and Kusama treasuries. We are submitting our final proposal to the Polkadot treasury.

We have been offering:

* a functioning infrastructure to provide usable blockchain database snapshots for the Polkadot and Kusama networks, to the benefit of node operators and validators,
* new snapshots at least once per day. Snapshots are filesystem dumps of the Polkadot and Kusama node storage backend files, of variety RocksDb and ParityDb, of type pruned, with a depth of 1000 blocks, compressed in lz4 format, that can be used by validators to quickly spin up or restore their infrastructure,
* a website frontend at polkashots.io with relevant metadata and download links, including a permanent link that always redirects to the most recent snapshot,
* best effort incident and problem management,
* redundant implementation setup which allows for continuity, seamless upgrades and basic disaster recovery & contingency management.

# TLDR;

Every pallets and primitive libraries are completely compatible with Parity Scale Codec and no_std, and data structures are optimized for the latest cryptography scheme friendly.  
By importing pallets and primitive libraries to Substrate, it achieves simple-to-use, privacy-preserving, and speedy, cheap transactions.

The blockchain technology lacks privacy and scalability features, which can be resolved by utilizing a combination of zero-knowledge proof and homomorphic encryption.  
Cryptography advances but traditional blockchains are not suitable to handle these cryptographic schemes.  
The more cryptography advances, the more we feel Ethereum EVM is old in the same way as we feel Bitcoin UTXO and PoW are old.  

Polkadot offers a unique feature that allows us to upgrade the blockchain runtime with the latest cryptography model.
By incorporating modern Substrate pallets, we can seamlessly integrate the latest cryptography into the Substrate architecture.  
This ensures that our system stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in cryptography.  
By directly modifying the blockchain data structure, we can greatly simplify its usage and make the process more efficient.  
That's the best differentiation from other blockchains.

# Benefits
Polkadot developers, users, and investors get benefits from this proposal.

**Firstly**, we implement zero-knowledge proof circuit language and related primitives. These libraries are compatible with Polkadot therefore they can use these functionalities on the Substrate blockchain and build new privacy projects on top of these.

**Secondly**, we implement confidential transfer transactions functionality, zk rollup construction, and wallet client. These libraries are public and users can use them and send transfer transactions privately or cheaply. They can hide the transfer amount and use scalable transfer.

**Finally**, our project focuses on Polkadot. Few projects are working on privacy blockchain and there are no official libraries related to privacy transaction components completely compatible with Polkadot. The zero-knowledge proof is also used for scaling. This makes Polkadot far easier to support privacy and scaling functionality. More users and projects will want to use Polkadot instead of other blockchains.

# Direction
We would like to collaborate with the Polkadot community and, brush up on our libraries and ideas.  
We especially, focus on zero-knowledge proof and hardware verification protocol.  
If we receive feedback from the community, we would be happy to reflect it on our libraries.  
Our purpose is to implement zkVM and IoT verification protocol parachain.  
On the way, it would be nice if we collaborate together and implement a strong infrastructure.

We would like to present to you a user behavior research product that will help improve the effectiveness of application development in the ecosystem and identify possible synergistic partnerships. Our goal is to study user behavior based on the ALREADY existing onchain information on the blockchain.

### Context of the proposal
We propose web3 user-research tool for the Polkadot ecosystem that enables developers to analyze and score user behavior on-chain, providing a deeper understanding of the current state of the ecosystem at the user, dApp, and parachain level.

With real-time detailed snapshots of the existing Polkadot community, developers can improve their products, create stronger communities, and effectively incentivize newcomers using Motif's insights. 

### Reference/experience
Our team has conducted and is actively engaged in multiple research projects to battle-test our event-based extraction method. Examples of completed and ongoing studies include:

In the following sections, we will present the results of these studies and demonstrate that the event-based method is sufficient for the purposes of research within the Polkadot ecosystem. 

### Problem statement
The operation of P2P systems is based on the P - peers (or people)  themselves. Due to the nature of independent economic systems with internal accounting units, users not only generate revenue but also directly influence the economic parameters of the system. It is the behavior of users that is the main lifeblood and success factor of that kind of economic systems. To operate successfully within such ecosystems, the creators of both the ecosystems themselves and the services and applications within the ecosystem must have a good understanding of user behavior, tools to influence it, and effectively track results.
- How can we identify the users who effectively and consistently use the dApps?
- How can we identify the users who fraud actions and try to deceive the system to obtain a reward?
- What motivates users to provide liquidity and how does the ecosystem incentivize them to continue doing so?
- How can we track the last actions of users who have transitioned from one ecosystem to another?
- How can we motivate average users to engage more actively with the system?
- How can we retain existing profitable users?

Answering these simple questions or finding relevant information within Polkadot is practically impossible. The main reasons for this are:
- Blockchain user data reality itself: a huge, interconnected and decentralized mess which is difficult to explore. 
- The modular multilevel structure of Polkadot is hard to overview.
- The limited number of functioning dApps and zero-to-none smart-contracts as a source of customer behavior leads to a lack of information.

### How is this problem being solved today?

One of the current solutions is one-by-one research. However, "wallet-by-wallet" research is extremely difficult. Researchers have to go to different wallets, look at the experience of interactions, compare similar wrapped/transferred tokens/coins/portfolios, actions, etc. Comparing users, let alone profiling them is almost impossible. It leaves no chance for factually understanding users' behavior and providing targeted incentivization to wallets with relevant experience. 

Due to this complexity, analysis often boils down to two simple metrics: the number of tokens on the relay chain or the number of wallets (for example, how many came and performed some action). This leads to a distortion of reality and inefficiency in analysis and results: prioritizing “big balance” leads to the dominance of "whales" behavior, while “big numbers” lead to the domination of "bot farms." However, these cases do not lead to growing the numbers of the active users, and such metrics do not allow the application to improve its efficiency. On the contrary, they provide an opportunity for potential fraud from such participants.
Even for the whole ecosystem itself these "bot farms" and "whales" can create a centralization effect, exposing the ecosystem to potential manipulation by centralized third parties. 
Therefore, a significant portion of tools based on user behavior aimed at incentivizing them, such as airdrops, retrodrops, quests, whitelists, and others, do not produce the desired results.


### Motif’s solution

Additionally, we can use other hypotheses to define clusters, such as the economic value of the user being proportional to the amount of gas spent. The more gas a user spends, the more money they spend. This can be used to further define and analyze the clusters.

### Stakeholders benefits
**DApps**
Our goal is to improve the efficiency of dApp onboarding and operation by providing opportunities for researching users, rival dApps, and the parachain itself. This allows dApps to easily navigate different ecosystems and onboard the most relevant communities. Additionally, dApps can better understand user needs and experiences, and reward the best users for their on-chain activity and holding without fear of flipping. This can streamline dApp development and operations and save on marketing and liquidity costs.
For example, dApps can incentivize users with different profiles (Top degens, Strong Holders, Early Adopters, etc.) using modern mechanics such as retrodrops, airdrops, and claims.

**Ecosystems (parachains)**
Ecosystems will have the opportunity to onboard relevant dApps (if they want to work on top of parachains), which can increase the use of native coins and grow the user base organically. This will lead to rewards for user loyalty and experience. Additionally, ecosystems can incentivize users to explore new experiences without the risk of losing funds to bot farms or flippers.

**Polkadot community**
Polkadot community members, whether experienced or new, will have the ability to be recognized for their loyalty and experience, and will be able to receive benefits for their engagement with the ecosystem. This can include rewards for on-chain activity, holding native tokens, or participating in research and development of the ecosystem.

### New use cases for the Polkadot

**Updatable/dynamic Web3 id.** Motif offers an updatable and dynamic Web3 ID that can meet the demands of on-chain user recognition, scoring, and profiling systems. This ID can be integrated into smart-contracts or routing systems, providing enhanced security for users and customization options for dApp developers.
The general idea is to enable blockchain applications to provide personalized conditions based on a user's real on-chain experience, without using any information from outside the blockchain (off-chain can be easily manipulated). The existing "HYPE concept" of soulbound tokens does not seem suitable, as the verification should occur at the moment of interaction (there can be a gap between the emission of the SBT token and the interaction).This case can be solved by implementing a scoring smart contract standalone or within the routing circuit (as part of it or as part of the route when conditions occur). Such a "smart contract factory" can work based on the solution we propose.

**DID.** Motif can also provide a decentralized digital ID based on the user's fingerprint (user trace in one wallet types) and predicted level of on-chain activity.. 
Current solutions for user address unification based solely on public addresses are not viable as they can be easily falsified. In our view, a usable digital fingerprint is only possible with transactions that have internal economic value. This combination of transaction patterns with economic significance and related information increases the chances of a real human subject managing the given address. Again, thresholds and identification of such transactions are possible on the proposed platform.

**Web2 scoring** where Web3 data can be used by Web2 apps for various purposes.

**Web3 scoring backend** for Polkadot, such as Nansen/debank look-alike dApps that currently do not exist in the ecosystem.

These use-cases can provide opportunities to onboard new dApps to the Polkadot ecosystem, increasing its potential for growth and usage.

Polkadot India is a group focused on teaching people about Polkadot and web3 technology. Here are some key points about their activities:

- They started in September 2021 with two events: DotFriday (webinars) and Substrate Saturdays (bootcamps).
- They organize in-person events called PolkaDays in different cities in India.
- They have community game nights to make learning fun and keep everyone engaged.
- Polkadot India shares educational content about Polkadot and web3 on their community channels.
- They have received funding from Polkadot's treasury to support their activities.
- The community has been growing, and they want to keep hosting events to help developers, students, and crypto fans learn more.
- They are seeking additional funding through a proposal to continue their educational programs.

Polkadot India aims to sensitize the Indian & global crypto community about Polkadot, educate them about web3 developments and even train developers with Substrate.

To this effect we have created two properties DotFriday(A Guest Webinar Series), and Substrate Saturdays(A Bootcamp Series) and have been running them since September 2021. We also hold IRL events across multiple cities in India named PolkaDays and also have community game nights to keep the community interactive and engaged. Ongoing activities also include continuous engagement on our community channels with highly insightful & educative content about the Polkadot & web3 ecosystem.

With 2 Polkadot treasury grant proposals won in the past 18 months, successful delivery of promised agendas, our community requests for more of our events. After the treasury haitus, Polkadot India is back with a proposal via the Events Bounty programme to take forward our webinar series in the coming months.

The [ongoing discussion](https://forum.polkadot.network/t/statemint-update-roadmap/1200/) about automated market makers (AMMs) in the Statemint roadmap is mainly focused on improving the user and custodian experience by allowing small atomic swaps natively and making Statemint a central hub for asset deposits. This addresses important pain points by enabling transaction fees to be paid in non-native tokens and facilitating interaction with the entire asset variety of the ecosystem without requiring to run custom nodes or infrastructure.

However, we believe that one aspect has been overlooked: the slow swaps of large volumes, which can be easily front-run or sandwiched. This is particularly relevant in the context of trades proposed through governance for use cases such as
1. Paying out treasury grants, bounties or even [salaries](https://github.com/paritytech/substrate/pull/13378) in less volatile currencies (ie. stablecoins).
2. Enabling parachains to build a DOT reserve which can be used to acquire a parachain lease, pay XCM fees, or [increase availability cores](https://forum.polkadot.network/t/parachain-scaling-by-parablock-splitting/341) during times of high demand (once supported).
3. Governance deciding to invest part of the treasury into a token to diversify their treasury

What we need is the opposite of what a traditional AMM provides: atomic swaps with immediate execution, even in relatively illiquid assets. A governance vote is unable to time the market and is highly predictable. Therefore, executing such a transaction as a market order on an AMM is problematic, as it will be guaranteed to be front-run. A better solution is to "dollar-cost-average" over a long period of time making it harder for price manipulation to affect the purchase.

At Centrifuge, we have researched distinct approaches of how to achieve hard-to-front-run slower transactions. In our opinion, the most elegant solution is [TWAMM (Time Weighted Automated Market Maker](https://www.paradigm.xyz/2021/07/twamm). We are of the firm conviction that the implementation of this model represents the most efficacious approach for executing token swaps in the context of slower and passive procedures, such as governance.

TWAMM (Time Weighted Automated Market Maker) eliminates front-running vulnerabilities of traditional AMMs when executing large orders, especially in the context of passive procedures, such as governance. The proposed solution will be executed as a seamless extension to [pallet-asset-conversion](https://forum.polkadot.network/t/statemint-e-swap-discussion), thereby enhancing its capabilities as an embedded AMM.

The deliverables of the proposal contain the TWAMM-pallet,  associated runtime APIs, associated research for further optimizing and extending the pallet, a security audit of the pallet and a frontend.

[Quidli](https://quid.li) builds micro on-ramps connecting Web 2.0 apps with web3 assets for digital communities to share token rewards with their top contributors and community members. Quidli is currently live on browsers, Slack, Discord and Twitter; and is primarily used by globally remote teams as internal recognition, by community ambassadors to reward member engagement, and DevRel to incentivize participation.

We propose launching an initial light integration of Polkadot, as well as to add DOT and KSM to our app to enable these tokens to be used across our app environment. This would streamline exposure, adoption and utilization of both Polkadot technology and assets to a wider user audience ranging from Polkadot enthusiasts/crypto natives to general newcomers.

Pendulum hosted an event in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to build a vibrant Polkadot community in Africa. The event featured a panel discussion titled "Navigating the World of Decentralized Finance," which focused on how SMEs can leverage Polkadot and stablecoins for financial independence. **Summary:**
 On February 6th, 2023, two earthquakes hit Pazarcik and Elbistan in Kahramanmaras, Turkey, leading to over 50,000 deaths and leaving 1.5 million people homeless. This was the deadliest earthquake worldwide since the 2010 Haiti earthquake. 

It is also proving to be one of the first major examples of blockchains and their tokens being used to directly offer humanitarian assistance. 
 So far over $12.5 million in donations have been made from blockchain protocols, treasuries, exchanges and donors.

**This proposal provides a tangible and transparent way for the Polkadot community to contribute to a long-term project that will help people recover from this terrible disaster.**

They are now beginning to construct a series of villages built from repurposed shipping containers across the affected region. These villages will provide much needed housing, social and psychological care for those affected by the earthquake. 
 This proposal would allow the Polkadot community to build a neighbourhood in one of these villages. This neighbourhood would consist of around 100 containers (households) and house approximately 400 - 450 people over an area of 6900m2.

As it is usual for such temporary post-earthquake housing to be necessary for at least two years - this proposal also budgets to support the maintenance and social program for this neighbourhood for 24 months.

**In effect we will be using DOT to give a two-year lifeline to hundreds of people to rebuild their lives.**

All of NeedsMap’s transactions regarding support they receive are audited on a daily basis by Mazars, an independent audit, tax and accounting company. In addition, every spend from their DOT beneficiary address will be invoiced for, and these invoices will be made available to the Polkadot community in 3 milestone reports over the duration of the project.

**Beneficiary Identity**

The DOT Account of the Beneficiary, ‘Ihtiyaç haritası’ (NeedsMap) has been approved by ‘MASAK’ (The Turkish Financial Regulator). As part of the Turkish government regulations, NeedsMap (along with all NGOs in Turkey) were mandated to set-up their wallet addresses on Turkish exchanges, Paribu and BTCTurk. The ‘Ihtiyaç haritası’ (NeedsMap) wallet address has been opened on the local Turkish crypto-exchange, Paribu. 

As the NeedsMap wallet address is on an exchange it is not possible for them to create an on-chain identity for the beneficiary account. In lieu of this on-chain identity, NeedsMap has publicly tweeted out the beneficiary address in the proposal - available to see here:

If this proposal is successful, Paribu will hold NeedsMap’s DOT in account and convert it into Turkish Lira gradually so as not to affect the market value. 

In accordance with the Turkish Regulator’s requirements, for every request NeedsMap makes for funds from their account at Paribu - they must supply an invoice - e.g. for the purchase of 100 containers. All these invoices will be made available to the DOT community as part of the reporting process on the project (see milestones) to ensure full transparency that the DOT contributed is being used to pay for the project.

### 1. Executive Summary

The goal of this proposal is to develop an open-source technology which provides a 2-way API gateway between web2/3/in-house applications and the Polkadot ecosystem including all its parachains, thereby enabling easy integration of Polkadot and all its parachains with traditional Enterprise applications and new web3 solutions.

We envision this technology enabling the creation of many SaaS offerings, providing the gateways services with varying SLAs, industry domains, and geographic regions. By way of these gateways traditional enterprise software products and services would be provided a bi-directional communication channel with the Polkadot relay chain and all its parachains. ### 2. Context of the proposal

Aventus Network (AvN) is an enterprise-focused, scalable, sustainable and interoperable blockchain which is built on Substrate. It currently operates as a layer 2 on Ethereum, additionally, AvN is a parachain of Polkadot [ParaID 2056](https://polkadot.js.org/apps/?rpc=wss%3A%2F%2Frpc.polkadot.io#/parachains/crowdloan). Instead, they rely on the familiar concept of always-on JSON-RPC API, accessed via HTTPS endpoints using common techniques and tools.

This is currently delivered as:

- Public SaaS which consists of a cloud infrastructure which operates a publicly-accessible end-point.
- Software solution to build a SaaS offering (with a set of public or private end-points) for those who require guaranteed levels of service.

Users can leverage a companion npm library that facilitates the creation of requests, authorisation and endpoint discovery, but can also implement their own logic towards constructing the requests.

At present, we have customers who demonstrated both approaches' viability. The Gateway charges fees for each transaction request, but state queries are free. These fees cover both the network operation and the expense of the relayer service’s infrastructure.


### 3. Problem Statement

The proposal aims to solve the problem of connecting the traditional enterprise software domain and the entire Polkadot blockchain ecosystem **by extending and enhancing Aventus Gateway’s API to support Polkadot relay chain and all its parachains**.

### 4. Proposal Objective/solution/s to point 2

The goal of the proposal is to develop an open-source solution, and a SaaS offering, to provide a two-way API gateway between internet web2/3 or in-house applications and the Polkadot ecosystem. Currently traditional software providers face multiple challenges integrating blockchain into their solution architecture, namely:

- Lack of technical domain knowledge in blockchain, and specifically Polkadot and its parachains. Diversity in the ecosystem makes this challenge even more significant.
- Comparatively immature blockchain enterprise software stack, absence of developed middleware solutions and cloud services which are 'a given' in the traditional layered enterprise architecture.
- Traditional businesses' compliance, legal and accounting incompatibility with crypto, especially with staking or custody of crypto-funds.

Aventus Polkadot Gateway solution would address these challenges by offering a scalable and highly available platform, which can be run by individuals and organisations for private consumption or as a public service, thus enabling the emergence of a decentralised industry of API infrastructure providers which will underpin the growth in hybrid web2/web3 applications.

This technology would, for example, enable enterprise organisations to onboard their users and enable them to interact with any Polkadot parachain transparently, without having to directly own and manage the chain's native tokens, or any crypto at all.

Our goal is to extend Gateway proxying logic so that we can target not only endpoints (pallets and methods) present on the AvN but also any public endpoint present on other chains in the Polkadot ecosystem. 

**c. Stakeholder benefits**

By creating a middleware solution for interoperability and integration of blockchains with web2/3  and enterprise systems this proposal benefits the Polkadot community as a whole: all parachains and the entire Polkadot ecosystem. This will immediately enable new and existing parachains to offer out of the box integration gateways into their networks. Potentially it will also trigger the emergence of a decentralised industry of API service providers reducing barriers to entry and accelerating seamless fusion of traditional IT and Polkadot. This would drive adoption of the Polkadot blockchain ecosystem, bring new users, transaction workloads and enable the emergence of new business models.

Pinknode’s Polkadot RPC nodes have served an average of 7,259,280 requests per day, for a cumulative total of 675,113,094 requests for the quarter.

- Complete technology solution for Celsius Network: Although we all know what happened with Celsius, we are still proud with what we’ve accomplished, as we didn’t have anything to do with the Business or Management side, and even our company funds and my personal funds are still stuck.

Also, we’re proud to say that 3 weeks ago, we’ve managed to get into top 12 finalists out of 250+ companies on ETHGlobal’s Hackathon on building dApps on top of FVM (Filecoin Virtual Machine).

The list goes on and on, as we’ve been working closely with more recognizable industry names such as Moonbeam, Bitcoin.com, yearn.finance, created different products on Cardano, and many more.

Already mentioned, we have a significant experience developing Celsius, a UniSwap fork for a big CeFi product, a DEX for Bitcoin.com built on Moonbeam, Tesseract finance (supported by yearn.finance), Revuto (a DEX on Cardano) and more.

So far, MVPW Studio has been engaged in Polkadot ecosystem by:

- Creating a [Substrate-Starter-Kit](https://mvpworkshop.co/blog/proudly-presenting-substrate-blockchain-starter-kit/) (which is a tool that brings the simplicity of creating a substrate-based blockchain by simple drag and drop pallets to a codebase.

- Developed a DEX on Moonbeam as a part of cooperation with Bitcoin.com (was never launched).

Today, we’re in close contact with Parity representatives in two big initiatives:

- Parachain SDK (a tool that will offer a set of shortcuts to easily deploy Parachains in a more affordable and quick way)

- UI & Front-end for a DEX on Statemint (a project we’re writing this proposal for)

With our serious plans to dive in the Polkadot ecosystem and give our full experience and expertise into empowering it, we are planning to submit a proposal for the UI & Front-End development of DotSwap, a DEX built on top of Statemint, a generic assets parachain and the first common good project, which provides functionality for deploying and transferring assets.

**The Current Problem with Polkadot**
 
Today, information within the Polkadot ecosystem is located across individual parachain/project websites, social media sites, and videos/podcasts. Information remains siloed and difficult to access for users depending on their purpose. The “hub” sites that do exist fall victim to Polkadot’s achilles heel: technical heavy, data repository interfaces that don't focus on the user experience. Polkadot has some of the best tech in the world and we want to help make this beautiful technology accessible to masses. 

The end result of this: Polkadot is being held back from its full potential. The average new user does not know where to begin or gets scared off when they’re asked to interact with developer style interfaces. We can see this across a broad depth of market data. Polkadot always leads in developer activity, and yet gets nowhere near the activity and traction as many ecosystems that are less developed and less impressive technically. 

**The Solution** 

Our overarching objective is to help participants better navigate the Polkadot ecosystem: increasing exposure and understanding by aggregating “everything Polkadot” and presenting digestible, key information in a simple user interface (“UI”). We will accomplish this by collecting and gathering information via a variety of sources, maintaining a community database, and building a user-friendly front end website. 

Our project will always focus on the end user. Whether the user is new to crypto or a seasoned veteran of the industry. Being a one-stop-shop can be daunting, so we will start with two smaller goals:

1. Be the best, intuitive onboarding tool for new users

2. Connect with teams, collaborators, investment teams, foundations, etc to define and curate the proper direction on where the ecosystem is headed

We do not want to present data merely because we collected it. Rather, we want to synthesize the disparate data and present it in a way that users can easily interact with in a simple manner. 

Collectively, this encompasses our main objective: making the Polkadot ecosystem easy to understand and navigate regardless of who you are.

**The Results**

As part of our process, we will be focusing on specific results in order to determine if our efforts are paying off. The first result will be general traffic to our website. Every visit that goes to a website that focuses on Polkadot and the surrounding ecosystem will help drive awareness and adoption. The more eyeballs and clicks we can get, the broader the reach becomes.

The second result will be to drive traffic to DApps of teams. Onboarding users is where everyone must start, but from there we want to help users take full advantage of the ecosystem. By helping explain what DApps can accomplish, curating different ways in which they can be used, and providing links to DApps themselves as well as helpful content from around the internet, we will be able to leverage our user reach to help benefit all DApps across the ecosystem.
