**Full House Fury** is one of the core playground games built on SAGE—a deck-building roguelike where players ascend a tower by battling through levels using **poker-style hands drawn from a 52-card deck**. The initial prototype was built by Cedric over the course of a weekend, inspired by the idea of recreating a game like _Balatro_ fully on-chain. Within that short span, the full game loop and UI were implemented using **SAGE’s C# reference engine**.

Translating the prototype game into an on-chain version using the **SAGE pallet** took less than a day—demonstrating how fast developers can go from idea to working blockchain integration. While creating a fun game requires more than just a game loop—like progression, balancing, and polish—the technical workflow proved that **SAGE dramatically shortens the prototype-to-chain cycle**.

Every action in Full House Fury—drawing cards, forming hands, progressing through levels—is tracked entirely on-chain via **SAGE's transition engine**, showcasing its power to handle **dynamic, evolving game assets** and fully decentralized game logic.

SAGE was built to address this gap—by reducing friction, offering reusable components, and providing a fast path from prototype to on-chain logic.

## **Motivation**

As a developer and founder deeply committed to Polkadot, I've invested the past four years in pushing the gaming vertical in Polkadot, through open-source APIs, Unity SDKs, or other early adoptions like async backing, to thrive blockchain gaming in Polkadot. Throughout this journey, I've frequently encountered frustration—not due to a lack of passion or ideas, but because of persistent technical and community hurdles that have slowed meaningful adoption.

I've personally experienced the struggle of onboarding game developers onto Polkadot, Substrate, and Ajuna. Constantly witnessing how complex blockchain technology becomes a barrier rather than an enabler. SAGE emerged directly from this frustration; it is actually a product evolving from the learnings of trying to onboard game devs and studios onto Polkadots tech stack to create a fully or hybrid on-chain experience. Its mission is clear: to remove these barriers and enable game creators to spend their energy where it matters most—on creativity, storytelling, and player engagement—not grappling with blockchain complexities.

I developed SAGE because I passionately believe in the potential of Polkadot as a technically advanced framework for gaming compared to other ecosystems. It can, and should, be a thriving hub for creative, vibrant, and community-driven games in the future. Yet, the past year has shown me the significant hurdles developers face when trying to build within the ecosystem. Despite substantial efforts—like the Polkadot SDK for Unity and early technical adoption in challenging areas like TEE and async backing—we've repeatedly hit obstacles, often without clear feedback or recognition from the broader community.

This Treasury proposal isn't just about funding a framework. It's about getting feedback on whether this is actually wanted at all. I believe that SAGE can be a playground for hackathons, offering an easy onboarding and hack & play style game dev experience, but in the end, I'm just a dev. SAGE has a lot of unknown features that could inspire new, innovative use cases.

**Note:** As someone actively involved in the early stages of DOT Play—handing over the Games Bounty and maintaining regular syncs with Nicholas (co-founder)—I’ve had a direct view into its development and priorities. While tooling was supposed to be a significant part of DOT Play’s first milestone, none of the outlined tooling funds were released or even considered—except for the Unity contract for 2025, which I independently negotiated and prepared before handing it over for payment.  
Given my role as a technical advisor and my close working relationship with Nicholas, I’m also familiar with the internal challenges DOT Play is currently facing. Based on this experience, I do not consider DOT Play a viable option to support or facilitate this proposal.

**Note:** While we are migrating all of our games to SAGE, including games such as **DOT Gravity**, **Awesome Ajuna Avatars**, **Big Ballz of Bajun**, **Hexalem**, and **Battle Mogs**, these are **not part of this Treasury proposal**. Although open-source and potentially useful for educational purposes, they were originally developed as part of our broader onboarding and ecosystem engagement strategy—not as dedicated playground games. Therefore, they are excluded from the scope and funding of this proposal.

OpenGuild, a Web3 builder community, has proposed a 12-month activation plan to grow the builder community and engage developers in SEA and broader Asia. The plan includes localized technical enablement, grassroots community empowerment, regional ecosystem activation, establishing Web3 community and tech universities partnerships, career pathways for builders, and ecosystem coordination. OpenGuild aims to serve as a coordination point for developers, bridge projects for collaboration, accelerate ecosystem growth, advocate for Polkadot Cloud and Hub in SEA, and maintain Polkadot's position in the market. PolkaGate MetaMask Snap: Retroactive Funding Proposal (Oct 2024 - Jan 2025)

In 2025, Polkadot will work with Laura Shin and Unchained to promote Polkadot and its projects. They will use Unchained's Podcast, Newsletter, and Website to reach important people in the crypto world. The goal is to help more people learn about Polkadot's technology and projects. 

The plan will start on March 31, 2025, and will include two podcast episodes and one newsletter each week about Polkadot. They will measure success by how many people listen to the podcast, share the newsletter, and give positive feedback. 

The team at Unchained includes Laura Shin, the founder and host, Mohammad Ali, the sales lead, Juan Aranovich, the managing editor, and Scott Williams Jr., the CFO. They have experience in crypto journalism, advertising, editing, and finance. 

The total cost for the year will be $416,000, which is a discount from the original price. They will break this cost into smaller parts for each 6-week milestone.

Dear community,
I present this proposal on the authorization of the curators of bounty 31.
This proposal seeks to continue funding of Public RPC Providers for the period of six months plus an additional month's contingency. Funding is issued to bounty 31 which awards vendors for RPC services on the Polkadot relay-chain as well as its system parachains. The total cost for such provision is USD$171,951.34, which represents $22,141.98 per month without contingency and administrative expenses.
Bounty 31 adopts an tender based procurement model in which service providers bid on requirements as set-out by the curators. The tender requirements are aligned to ecosystem needs and can scale up/down depending on usage. Tenders are scored and the highest scoring providers receive funding. Attention is also being placed on quality of service and should service providers fail to meet said quality-standards they will be penalized or lose funding altogether.
This approach has seen a reduction with independent funding proposals for such services and steering of providers to a "market rate".

We, Otar and Raul of JUST Ventures GmbH, are submitting a second retroactive funding proposal to the Polkadot Treasury, following the approval of our first request covering 01.12.2022 &ndash; 31.03.2024. This new proposal seeks funding for our contributions from 01.04.2024 &ndash; 31.12.2024.
Over this period, our work has included supporting and executing runtime upgrades, facilitating OpenGov implementation, guiding treasury proposals, providing technical assistance, managing governance discussions, supervising bounties, and engaging in key ecosystem initiatives. We have also been involved in projects like the Polkadot Ecosystem Map and the Polkadot Community Foundation advisory process among others.

JUST 2.0 Retroactive Compensation for Contributions to the Polkadot Ecosystem

Subscan has proposed a funding request of $249,250 USD to enhance both the open-source Subscan Essentials and its commercial platform by integrating PolkaVM (PVM) data indexing, parsing, smart contract interactions, and UI visualization. The initiative aims to provide an open-source Substrate + PVM explorer, an open-source PVM contract verification tool, enhanced PVM support in the commercial version of Subscan Explorer, and comprehensive user documentation. This will accelerate PVM adoption and provide the Polkadot community with a robust, user-friendly, and one-stop dashboard for on-chain exploration. Polkadot Fast-Grants Bounty Curator Candidacy

Polkassembly is a platform for Polkadot and Kusama's governance. They have a proposal to get money from Polkadot Treasury to improve the platform in 2025. The proposal wants to make the platform better by improving things like user experience, stability, and important features. They want to make it easier to use, add support for more wallets, and make the website look better.

Some of the things they want to improve are:
1. Making it easier to set up an identity on the platform.
2. Making the website load faster and adding AI summaries for comments.
3. Improving how proposals are created and supported.
4. Adding support for more wallets.
5. Improving how the website looks and how easy it is to use.

They also want to make some technical improvements, like updating the software they use and making the platform more secure.

Polkassembly Social Contract 2025

Polkadot-API is a set of libraries that helps make decentralized applications. They want to make it easier for developers to create these apps. They have added new features and libraries to make it better. They are asking for money from the Polkadot Community Foundation to keep working on it from February 2025 to December 2025. They have a plan for how they will use the money and have shared it in a Google Doc. If they get the money, they will sign a contract, do some checks, and then get paid. They have set aside some money for the Polkadot Community Foundation's costs, and they will give back any extra money to the Polkadot Treasury. As many of you may already know, [Polkadot-API](https://github.com/polkadot-api/polkadot-api) was envisioned to provide a robust and flexible suite of libraries that prioritize composability, modularity, and a light-client-first approach. Our goal remains to equip dApp developers with powerful tools that simplify the creation of truly decentralized applications while continuously refining the developer experience.

Over the past development cycles, we have introduced new features and enhancements to Polkadot-API, along with additional libraries that complement and expand its capabilities. We've also released a series of tech demos that are valuable in their own right, while also showcasing the potential of these libraries. We are seeking funding for ongoing development and maintenance through the [Polkadot Community Foundation](https://wiki.polkadot.network/docs/polkadot-community-foundation), for the months from February 2025 to December 2025. -   The PCF will transfer the proposal amount in USDC to our address in AssetHub (12R1XCdgkHysv8Y4ntiXguo4eUYHXjQTmfRjL8FbmezsG71j) in a single transfer at the beginning.

We have allocated a buffer of $7,000 for PCF legal and operational costs. After the process is complete, the PCF will refund the remaining amount back to the Polkadot Treasury.

Subsquid Lab is asking for money to keep their public SQD Archives running. These archives help people find information on the Polkadot and Kusama networks. They want $264,838.09 to cover their costs. Here's what they did in the past few months:

**Motivation**

A) Archives

Archives are an important piece of Polkadot and Kusama data infrastructure provided by SQD (formerly Subsquid). They provide access to on-chain data for public chains in the Polkadot ecosystem. They are being used as a data source for Squids and for efficient data exploration and ad-hoc queries.

The Archives, as performant data sources of historical on-chain data, are critical to the operation of backend APIs run by major projects in the Polkadot ecosystem (the list is not exhaustive):

Since the first quarter of 2024, SQD has transitioned to a paid model for supporting parachains. However, public chains continue to be available for free use. Throughout the second quarter of 2024, we provided a free public data indexing service for Substrate blockchains, allowing interested parties to access indexed data on Substrate Events, Extrinsics, Storage Items, and EVM logs. Below is a list of the public chains we currently support at no cost:

B) Contribution

During Q2’2024, we made significant contributions to support ink! v5 and address actual use cases that were highly demanded by the community:

-   We provided support for manual finality confirmation in the subsquid/substrate-processor for cases where a chain does not expose finalization details

**Achievements**

**Increase in Archival Data Demand and Infrastructure Scaling**

During Q2, archival data demand increased approximately ~28,1 times, from 110,6 GiB to 3.095,17 GiB. We addressed the increasing demand for archival data by enhancing our infrastructure's throughput and redundancy through deploying archives to OVHCloud in addition to GCE, while also empowering our maintenance and engineering teams to support the expanded infrastructure effectively.

**Mainnet Launch and Decentralization of the SQD Network Enhancing the Polkadot Ecosystem:**

In Q2’24, we successfully launched the SQD mainnet, a pivotal advancement that significantly strengthens the Polkadot ecosystem's decentralization and resilience. By the end of the quarter, the SQD network comprised 726 Worker Nodes online, securely storing 529 TB of data and serving ~ 9 TB of data a day. This decentralized infrastructure enhances data processing and storage capabilities, ensuring higher security, fault tolerance, and scalability for the Polkadot network.

**Advancements in Squid SDK Empowering Polkadot Developers:**

-   Manual Finality Confirmation Configuration: Enabled manual configuration of finality confirmation for subsquid/substrate-processor in cases where a parachain does not expose finalization information

**Cloud API Upgrades:**

We upgraded our Cloud API to offer enhanced capabilities that support the growth of the Polkadot ecosystem:

-   **Multiple API Tokens Support**: Allows for more granular access control and better management of development workflows.
-   **Hasura Integration**: Enables more efficient and powerful data querying and manipulation, facilitating the creation of responsive and data-driven applications.
-   **Chain ID and SS58 Prefix support**: Enhanced network identification and management for seamless interoperability across Polkadot parachains

Over the course of Q2 2024:

-   Served a total of 3,505,904,767,634 (~3.19 TiB) of data from the substrate based archives in Q2 2024
-   Served 301 069 archive requests from substrate based archives in Q2 2024
-   The highest daily total data transfer recorded for Substrate was 161.646 GiB within a single 24-hour period.

**Costing**

This proposal encompasses the combined costs for running Archives for Polkadot, Kusama, and other public chains, along with the development contributions, amounting to a total of $264,838.09. SQD (fka Subsquid) - Public data indexing Infrastructure for Polkadot and Kusama (Q2 2024)

- LimeChain is now in charge of GiantSquid, a tool that helps find data in the Polkadot system.
- They created a report about their work and talked to users to gather feedback.
- Based on this feedback, they have a new plan called "Phase 2 for Giant Squid."
- Phase 2 includes new features like making it easier to find cross-chain transfers and track staking and voting.
- They will also make a new table to show all account events at once, which will be easier to use.
- They are asking for **169,520 USDC** to help pay for the new features and other costs.
- Feedback from the community is very welcome, and they hope to turn it into a treasury proposal.

With <a href="618">Referendum #618</a>, LimeChain took over the development and maintanance of GiantSquid (fka as Subsquid), which is an indexing tool in the Polkadot ecosystem, providing access to on-chain data in the form of GraphQL gateways. Since then, we have delivered on the treasury proposal, proactively talked to users and ecosystem members, and published a detailed delivery report. More details on community feedback can be found in the progress report of <a href="618">Referendum #618</a> .
Based on user feedback, we&rsquo;ve scoped out a list of upgrades in a new proposal which we&rsquo;re calling a &ldquo;Phase 2 for Giant Squid&rdquo;.The full proposal document for Giant Squid Phase 2 can be read <a href="https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FkQY0erT2LsLbK03-AnJ9RrRnFDVtPxI/edit?usp=sharing&amp;ouid=113946912904115479410&amp;rtpof=true&amp;sd=true">here in google docs</a>.
TLDR:
In Phase 2 we plan to implement XCM transaction indexing, making cross-chain transfers easily searchable. By indexing nomination pools and conviction voting, we enable detailed tracking of staking and governance participation. A new &ldquo;History Elements&rdquo; table will consolidate all account-related events into a single dataset, simplifying queries for wallets and applications. Staking analytics will be improved with APR calculations and validator selection insights. NFT indexing will allow users to retrieve owned assets, while a feasibility study will explore cross-chain NFT tracking. Additionally, we will research real-time mempool indexing to provide better transaction visibility before finalization. Giant Squid will also boast a new homepage that greatly improves usability. These upgrades will make Giant Squid a more powerful and user-friendly indexer for the ecosystem.
The total treasury request for this proposal is 169,520 USDC, of which 94,520 are development costs and 75,000 are estimated infrastructure costs from March 2025 till December 2025 inclusive. The infrastructure estimation is based on historical infrastructure expenses (currently at about $7.5k a month)&nbsp; + an usage growth assumption from the delivery of Phase 2 onwards. The infrastructure up until now is being covered with remaining funds from <a href="618">Referendum #618</a>.
Any additional feedback or ideas for the upgrade of GiantSquid are greatly appreciated. We would love to hear the community feedback on this and potentially move it to a treasury proposal.

Giant Squid Phase 2

WAGOI is a new app that will help car owners control their own car data. Most cars today are connected, but drivers don't have control over their data. Car makers make money from this data, and it's a big market worth $750 billion. Soon, new rules in the European Union will say that people must have access to their car data, which is a big chance for WAGOI.

WAGOI will use a special technology called blockchain to make sure car data is safe and can't be changed. It will work with rules like the EU Data Act and GDPR to make sure everything is done the right way. WAGOI will be the first app like this on the Polkadot Hub, which is a place for new apps.

WAGOI is good for Polkadot because it follows EU rules, which will make people trust it more. It will also make a lot of value for drivers and others in the car world. WAGOI is working with big car companies, which will help more people use Polkadot's technology.

People should support WAGOI because it will change the car data market and give control back to drivers. It will also help Polkadot be more popular in the car and mobility world. WAGOI's plan and budget are in a big document, but it's important to read because it talks about how the new rules will help WAGOI's business.

WAGOI is a big part of the car world and works with other groups like FISITA, INATBA, and MyData. **WAGOI will be the first DePin app for vehicle data on the Polkadot Hub (Asset Hub)**

**Problem**

96% of all cars are connected, yet **drivers have zero control** over their own data. Car manufacturers **monetize this data,** with projections estimating a **$750 billion market.**  
  
With the **EU Data Act** (_Nov 2025_) mandating that consumers must have access to their vehicle data, the industry is at a tipping point. Car manufacturers will **no longer be gatekeepers**, creating a massive opportunity for a decentralized solution like WAGOI.  
  
**Solution**

WAGOI empowers vehicle owners to reclaim control over their vehicle data. It enables drivers to securely manage, share, and monetize their data while ensuring compliance with EU regulations like the EU Data Act and GDPR.  
WAGOI provides **blockchain-based provenance** for vehicle data, ensuring verifiable and tamper-proof records. We combine Self-Sovereign Identities (SSI) with **machine identity DIDs** and at the same time, we will be using **AssetHub** for smart contracts.
