Virtune will hold multiple in-person seminars at their head office, presenting the Polkadot ETP. The target will be to attract a minimum of 50 attendees for each event - consisting of private banking advisors and professionals from some of the largest banks in Sweden and the Nordics regions.

A member from within the Polkadot community will be scheduled to attend one or more of the Virtune events and present to the attendees the current happenings within the Polkadot network. This representative will be chosen by the Distractive Polkadot Marketing team.

**TARGETS / KPI’s  
**The campaign is projected to attract 2830 new clients to invest in the Polkadot ETP, with an average starting investment of $1750 per investor.

By early 2025, we expect the campaign to achieve a ROI of $4.4M into the Polkadot ecosystem (via VIRDOT ETP) equivalent to approx 631K DOT tokens, based on the current DOT price of $6.97.

The above numbers are calculated based on Virtune's historical metrics from the past 11 months, during which more than 26,000 investors were organically reached.

Beyond the immediate results, this campaign is expected to create a ripple effect, attracting more investors to Polkadot over time and instilling interest from private firms & institutions from the Nordic regions

**VIRTUNE POLKADOT STAKED ETP - INFORMATION & FAQ**  
The Virtune Staked Polkadot ETP was listed on Nasdaq Stockholm OMX's regulated market on January 10, 2024. This product is fully backed by spot DOT tokens, which are securely stored with Virtune's custodian, Coinbase. The tokens are staked directly from cold storage, with the rewards continuously accruing to the product. This process enhances the ETP's performance, as investors receive these rewards.

Currently, the annual staking return for investors stands at 4% on top of Polkadot’s performance. This staking yield is due to our strategy of not staking all of our holdings, maintaining liquidity to ensure that investors can freely buy and sell the product at any time during market hours without any lockup period.  
  

**Why do investors prefer to invest in Polkadot through an ETP instead of using crypto exchanges?**  
The most significant advantage of investing in Polkadot through an ETP in Sweden is the ability to store it in an ISK account, where you pay a standard annual tax of 1.25% instead of the 30% capital gains tax. This benefit makes it a clear first choice for investors. Additionally, most investors prefer to hold their cryptocurrency investments in their traditional securities accounts, eliminating the need to declare transactions or use a separate cryptocurrency exchange or account.

The combination of these values make our product a very attractive investment and we plan to grow the demand of this product with the above mentioned strategy - which we believe will be a net positive spend for the Polkadot Network.

**Problem Statement:** The decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem is rapidly growing, surpassing $100 billion in total value locked (TVL) since May 2022. However, there are significant challenges that need to be addressed to onboard new users to Polkadot and improve their experience. Key issues include:

1.  _Complexity:_ Existing solutions within the Polkadot ecosystem can be intimidating for new users due to the technical barriers associated with token creation and swapping. The current tools, such as Polkadot-JS, require a deep understanding of blockchain technology, which can be off-putting for beginners.
2.  _User Experience:_ Polkadot-JS, while functional, is difficult for novice traders to use. Many users have reported that the interface is not intuitive and can be cumbersome for executing simple transactions.
3.  _Competition:_ Other blockchains like Ethereum (Uniswap) and Solana (Raydium) have addressed these user experience issues, setting high standards for usability and convenience. These platforms offer seamless token swaps and liquidity provision, which attracts a large user base. Polkadot needs to catch up by providing a similarly user-friendly experience.

**Solution:** AssetX addresses these challenges by offering a suite of user-friendly features within the Polkadot ecosystem:

**Tokenomics:** The AssetX tokenomics plan features a hard cap of 1 billion ASX tokens with no halving events. Although the issuance of ASX tokens will increase the supply of tokens in the short term, this hard cap will ensure that the DEX will experience net deflation.

The projected distribution of ASX Tokens is as follows:

-   _Team:_ 20% of ASX Tokens will be dedicated to the team, successively vested over two years to give confidence to the market.
-   _OpenGov Voters:_ 5% of ASX Tokens will be reserved for OpenGov voters, with a maximum of 10,000 tokens awarded per user (1 DOT Vote = 1 ASK Token) regardless of voting type (Aye AND Nay).
-   _Liquidity Pool Incentives:_ 55% of ASX Tokens will be used for additional liquidity pool incentives and to facilitate transaction fees. Liquidity providers will receive their portion of the initial 0.3% yield per trade for providing liquidity to the DEX.
-   _Airdrops:_ 20% of ASX Tokens will be airdropped to end users who hold sufficient assets on the AssetHub and use the DEX for Swap & Liquidity Pools, with strategies aligned with marketing efforts.
-   _Insurance Fund:_ 2% of all transaction fees retained by the DEX will be allocated to an insurance fund aimed at compensating users in case of loss or fraud.

**Airdrops and Strategy:** Upon the proposal's approval, the AssetX team aims to airdrop ASX Tokens to users who hold sufficient assets on the AssetHub & use the DEX for Swap & Liquidity Pools. The first airdrop will consist of approximately 50 million ASX Tokens during the Christmas period, dubbed the '50 Million ASX Christmas Airdrop'. This proposal aims to continue the operations of a working group in Brazil to convert leads interested in Polkadot into builders or partners, with the goal of making Polkadot Brazil's leading blockchain ecosystem. Brazil is a significant player in the cryptocurrency market and has a large, tech-savvy population. We started by analyzing various leads to understand the challenges and opportunities presented by different businesses. With these insights, we were able to engage potential partners and build mutually beneficial relationships.

Brazil and Crypto As the fifth largest cryptocurrency market globally, Brazil has positioned itself as a formidable player in the digital and financial technology sector. With a population of approximately 212 million and a median age of 32, the country boasts high rates of mobile and internet usage. Brazil's robust digital landscape further underscores its potential for international tech and digital financial sectors. The country ranks fifth globally in smartphone usage, with 84 million adults owning smartphones and 139 million of the 149 million internet users accessing the web via mobile devices, making Brazil the second-largest mobile internet access market globally.

Brazil is leading the international scene in the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA). In 2023, over R$600 billion (Brazilian currency) in RWA tokens were issued with the assistance of CVM, the governmental authority responsible for regulating securities, through their SandBox Program. The regulatory framework took the form of Crowdfunding, demonstrating an intention to cater to investors of all sizes and to promote the creation and democratization of various financial instruments for the Brazilian population.

Institutions of varying scales encounter substantial limitations when it comes to the integration of blockchain technology, posing a significant barrier to technological advancement. This issue is particularly pronounced within big institutions, where the threshold for technological entry is high. The operational processes of big companies and corporations are intricate, and any modifications to existing systems have the potential to incite a complete overhaul, rendering the implementation of new solutions challenging. Furthermore, these entities already contend with substantial technological requirements, directing their resources and developers toward specific projects in order to keep pace with market innovations, thus rendering the adoption of blockchain a costly and complex endeavor.

**3.1 Challenges faced by blockchains in Brazil:**

**Insufficient workforce:** Often, blockchains do not have enough manpower to support the implementation of their technologies.

**Deficient implementation methods:** There are no well-established methods for implementing blockchain in medium and large companies.

**Unfinished products:** Frequently, blockchains offer only basic infrastructure and not a fully finished product, making it harder for companies to adopt these technologies effectively.

**High technological entry barrier:** Complex operations make any changes to existing systems arduous and risky.

**Shortage of qualified professionals:** Difficulty in finding and hiring specialists who can integrate and implement new blockchain-based technologies.

**Limited understanding of benefits:** These companies often fail to understand the concrete benefits that blockchain technology can provide.

**4\. Proposal Objective and  our Strategy Pillars**

**Objective:** Convert identified people/companies or a tokenization or lending Dapp for specific markets that have demonstrated interest in Polkadot into Polkadot builders or partners, to establish the foundation for Polkadot to become Brazil's leading blockchain ecosystem. Given the strong competition from other platforms in Brazil, we want to win as many opportunities as possible.

**Educational Initiatives and Partnerships:** One of the primary methods we intend to use is through educational initiatives, forming partnerships with laboratories and universities. The positioning of these partnerships is crucial because universities and scientific laboratories are channels for relationships and fiscal benefits from the government and are able to receive grants for research and technological development. In Brazil, large companies seek and invest in universities and centers of science and technology because they can innovate with fiscal benefits or government grants. This is an excellent way to unite the Polkadot Ecosystem to develop PoCs (Proof of Concepts) or MVP (Minimum Viable Products) as the first moves toward the needs of large companies.

**Constant Account Management and Consultancy:** As account managers, we have a substantial pipeline of businesses interested in incorporating blockchain technology. To assist them, we will organize on-site meetings, workshops, and online sessions to help turn their interest into tangible products. We will maintain communication with both potential partners and those who have already partnered with Polkadot. For large enterprises with multiple departments, we view each department as a potential client, recognizing the opportunity for multiple collaborations within the same organization.

**Transformation and Cultural Approach in Large Companies:** We will adopt a cultural and digital transformation approach for large companies. After securing an initial MOU, we will enter these companies with educational and co-creation workshops, bringing parachains to participate in an educational journey. By the end of this journey, the company's employees, together with the facilitators from the BD team, will identify use cases that can become PoCs or projects. Our plan is to leverage the existing Polkadot SDK tools on Polkadot and also forward those contacts to work alongside Parachain teams on Polkadot if the business requires something that has already been built.

**Base Compensation:** The Business Development (BD) team shall receive a monthly base compensation of **$7,000** with the possibility of achieving more compensation through an incentive System.

**The Results Multiplier:** This is a strategic incentive mechanism aimed at improving the monthly team's compensation by achieving specific objectives related to the development and integration of projects on the Polkadot platform.

The multiplier is calculated as a percentage of the base compensation and is applied in accordance with the following guidelines:

**2x Total Monthly Compensation:** When a qualified lead is passed on to an existing Polkadot project in areas such as Smart Contracts or Education about the ecosystem in order to start relationships for further partnerships with Polkadot and train developers.

**3x Total Monthly Compensation:** Initiatives that will promote developers in the Polkadot development kit.

**4x Total Monthly Compensation:** When a Polkadot-based project executes a commercial agreement with a credible partner (e.g.: evidenced by posts on LinkedIn or other social media about a chain onboarded into Tanssi).

**Point of Attention:** If the Business Development (BD) team fails to attain the specified goals and does not utilize the entire allocated bounty DOTs within six months, the curators will authorize a transaction to transfer the remaining DOTs from the bounty wallet to the treasury.**(MORE INFO IN 15 PAGE OF DOC)**

**Is blockchain something attractive to Brazil? How is the adoption going?**

Yes, this is highly appealing. The Central Bank of Brazil is working with us to build a private EVM chain, and Brazil's largest digital bank, NuBank, has also developed a private chain for its loyalty program, which was a huge success. Many other initiatives with big corporations in Brazil are adopting Blockchain (big banks, retail, tech, and all kinds of industries). This combination has ignited intense competition for blockchain adoption in Brazil.

**If the initiative ends for any reason, what happens with the Dots in the initiative Wallet?** T

**Does the initiative have a time limit of 6 months?**

The Business Development (BD) team's designated timeline is six months; however, the bounty curators have the discretion to extend the duration of the bounty. This flexibility is essential as the BD team's performance may occasionally be impacted by deals nearing closure, which may require additional weeks to finalize. Consequently, the curators hold the authority to prolong the bounty beyond the initial six-month period. It is pertinent to note that compliance procedures typically necessitate evidence of authorization and representation of Polkadot. The JAM Spring Time Tour & Top Up - The Kus x Key Pictures

PMEI is submitting a retroactive payment request for the ETH Denver event and a new event, Zebu Live, to support Distractive's Polkadot marketing strategy. They have been working on infrastructure, ticket flows, and partnerships to increase substrate wallet adoption. After Polkadot Decoded, they added over 5,000 new substrate wallets to the ecosystem. The {bash} team has created a ticketing system that allows attendees to create substrate wallets and receive rewards. They are also working on business deals to increase Polkadot adoption among enterprise businesses.

For the ETH Denver event, PMEI's original budget was reduced, and they had to cover additional costs. They are requesting retroactive payment to cover these expenses. The event was successful, with 5,365 attendees signing up, 1,898 new substrate wallets added, and around 300 live predictions made.

The new event, Zebu Live, is an official closing party for {bash} Polkadot in London on October 11th. PMEI is requesting funds for this event, which is expected to have 2,500-4,000 attendees and add over 3,500 new substrate wallets.

We’ve been head down, building out the necessary infrastructure for what we need to yield meaningful results before, during and after our events. (ticket flows, web2 rich experiences with abstracted substrate tech underneath, our music label and relevant industry partnerships)

**A bit on ETH Denver Closing Party**

PMEI produced the {bash} official closing party which was partially approved by the Events Bounty in two tranches (as seen in [Part I](child_bounty/610) and [Part II](child_bounty/653)).

PMEI’s original proposed budget for ~ $150K was reduced by the Events Bounty to exclude the cost of the DJ talent (of which 7 performed across 3 rooms) and talent buying (fees associated with logistics and artist/ manager negotiations). PMEI raised partial sponsor funds to cover these costs and used part of the agency fee to cover the deficit.

Additional costs to produce the event were incurred as a result of the last minute release of funds from the EB and additional requirements added on by the ETH Denver conference not originally included in the budget. PMEI is asking for retroactive payment to cover the additional expenses and overages that our team paid for out of pocket.

The goal is to align with Distractive's Polkadot marketing strategy and add new substrate wallets to the ecosystem. The ETH Denver event had a total cost of $148,453, and PMEI is asking for retroactive payment to cover the additional expenses and overages. The new event, Zebu Live, is estimated to have 2500-4000 attendees and will add 3500+ new substrate wallets.

Design work will be completed by Algo SRL - the same agency used for Airport Zurich & Singapore as well as Lyft NYC.

We will be repurposing our completed animations to fit a myriad of office lobbies, hallways, elevator waiting areas and workspaces to match as best we can a corporate yet relevant Polkadot color scheme and copy with a refresh after 3 months.  
  
All animations will have a trackable QR code to measure scans and we will share this information on a bi-monthly basis until the campaign is completed.
