**The compensation amount:** In my first proposal with Mister Cole's help, I decided to request a lower amount because it was my first interaction with the broader Polkadot community. After this passed, I started earning roughly $2,000 per million views between April and July 2024 from a treasury-funded social media company (since then, they have seemingly dissolved, with my previous manager quitting, and the new manager giving vague responses for several months). Following this, I have received ~19.7 million views through the duration of this 7-month campaign. Seemingly being the only major content creator largely on TikTok promoting Polkadot, further incorporating Polkadot into my content than before, and this being my second interaction with OpenGov, I believe it is fair to request roughly the same rate I did during my very first proposal.

Multiple avenues of promotion are being taken: Speaking about what Polkadot is in a learner-friendly manner, occasionally streaming games powered by Polkadot such as “NFL Rivals”, including the proper links to Polkadot on all platforms, and showcasing a large neon sign of the logo in the background. This sign is strategically positioned to catch the viewer’s attention, encouraging them to engage with the streamer about Polkadot.

The streamer was also paid by a treasury-funded media company for roughly 3 months following the aforementioned proposal. I am actively introducing new people into the Polkadot ecosystem through my work and have been engaged with prominent members of the community for over a year.

The Treasury Proposal is about integrating QMDB Core into Substrate Storage. QMDB is a storage system that will help make Substrate faster and better. The project will happen in four steps:

1. Make QMDB work with Substrate (3 weeks, 2,000 DOT)
2. Create a way to organize the stored information (2 weeks, 1,500 DOT)
3. Test everything to make sure it works (1 week, 750 DOT)

During the messy early days of the new HA Program, Six has been a voice of reason, and in this divisive environment, managed to maintain a good relationship with almost everyone, avoiding taking sides and seeking to build consensus. Even through the Ambassador program ultimately went into a different direction, Six contributed greatly to the program’s foundation.

Polkadot Experience Beta — Arequipa was a 2-day workshop for developers in Arequipa, Peru. The event focused on teaching participants about the Polkadot ecosystem and blockchain technology. Here are the main points:

**Quick contex**t: Arequipa is the city in Peru with the greatest relevance at the level of software development in the country, for this reason it is preferred by technological giants to carry out recruitment and the Arequipeña community is known in Silicon Valley for annually organizing the Techsuyo conference. Tip for 2 days workshop - Polkadot Experience Beta

A proposal has been made to give more money to help the people called "collators" on Polkadot's System Parachains. Collators are important because they help keep the network safe, fair, and fast. They need more money to keep doing their job well as the network grows bigger. The proposal asks for 21,504.94 DOT to help with this. You can find more information about the proposal in a Google Document and in earlier proposals. This proposal is a way to say thank you to the collators for their hard work.

This is a chart with which we are all familiar. DOT vs BTC. To be honest, this chart is likely similar for the vast majority of alts on a longterm timeline.

Much like we have already done to stabilize our treasury by DCAing into stable coins such as USDC and USDT, I propose that we set aside 1 million DOT to engage in the same diversification strategy by slowly accumulating Bitcoin.

While we are all DOT bulls at heart, many of us came to crypto through Bitcoin, and it has demonstrated that it is the apex predator of all digital assets. Over the last year, we have witnessed its newfound legitimacy among TradFi through the creation of the ETFs, and we are on the cusp of numerous states here in the U.S. (if not the whole country itself, as well as other nationstates) beginning to accumulate their own "Bitcoin Strategic Reserves." It would be wise for us as a community to do the same.

Over the coming years, this will provide a solid foundation for our treasury's value, and if we were ever in dire need due to running low on DOT or stables, we could tap into this value by converting it back into one of those two options. The main objective, however, would be to accumulate with the goal of not selling in an effort to drive the overall treasury value higher.

I defer to the Hydration team when it comes to which wrapped version of the asset we should accumulate, as this would likely be dependent upon a number of factors such as the depth of liquidity in the Omnipool. I would also defer to someone else to create and implement the actual design of the technical proposal that would allow this to happen in a trustless way should the community agree to the wisdom of adding Bitcoin to our overall treasury reserves.

This proposal aims to bring 1 million user wallets to the Polkadot network through ongoing user funnels at strategic Billfold venues. It funds the production of four Bash events in the first half of the year and the placement of Billfold PoS in strategic venues, generating at least 1 million wallets and transactions in 2025. The Polkadot community has trusted PMEI to bring Billfold into the ecosystem, and now they want to drive as much usage to Polkadot as possible through existing and new Billfold users. Every new event attendee at a Billfold venue will get a new Polkadot wallet and be encouraged to transact on the network. PMEI is focused on creating self-sustaining user funnels through new venue partnerships, driving usage to the network through loyalty engagement and facilitating payments. They are not charging an agency fee on this proposal, only covering hard costs.

KPI: bringing 1M+ minimum user wallets through on-going user funnels at newly added, strategic Billfold venues.

This proposal funds the production of (4) {Bash} events for the first half of the year and placement of Billfold PoS into strategic venues, which in turn will generate a minimum of 1M wallets and transactions in 2025, alone.

The Polkadot community has trusted PMEI to bring Billfold into the ecosystem. Now that we've successfully done so, we want to drive as much usage to Polkadot as we possibly can through exisiting and new Billfold users. 

**Every new event attendee at a Billfold venue = a new Polkadot wallet**

These venues are strategic in size, but also in location. These fans and atists are most likely to travel between the venues we’ve selected, making their Polkadot journey more impactful via loyalty rewards and payments.

    In December 2023, our previous (5th) Treasury Proposal was approved, and we have now successfully delivered upon those proposed features and more. Please refer to the [Nova Wallet 5th Treasury Proposal report](../post/2527) for more details.

    Nova Wallet is the most popular Polkadot ecosystem wallet in terms of on-chain metrics on multiple fronts. If we look at staking, currently **over 9.6 MILLION DOT has been staked with Nova Wallet by over 12 THOUSAND users** – which represents around **~26% of all nomination pool stakers**. Nova Wallets validators have **1,565 nominators** – which represents around **~5% of all direct staking** nominations. Overall ~**17% of all DOT stakers are staking via Nova Wallet.**

    See [our recent article](https://novawalletapp.medium.com/nova-wallet-the-best-staking-app-2024-report-68f52c5267f1) from January 2025 which gives an overview of popular wallets and liquid staking protocols in terms of the amount of DOT being staked via these methods.

    It is also possible to determine the **popularity/market share of different wallets** within the Polkadot ecosystem when it comes to in-app swaps thanks to Hydration’s referral code mechanism. In terms of **total users** that have used one of the ecosystem wallets to carry out swaps within the wallet’s UI, **Nova Wallet has an ~83% share of the userbase**, and **~70% in terms of the total volume of transactions on Hydration.**

    This is a **retroactive proposal** which has not historically been the norm for Nova Wallet, however, due to the evolving nature of Polkadot with **frequent runtime updates**, we have decided that requesting treasury funds in a retroactive manner is more suitable for our operations. This is because **it is not possible to determine ahead of time the amount of work that we have to carry out in order to ensure that breaking changes do not impact our user base**. As the most popular wallet in the Polkadot ecosystem, ensuring that our users have the best possible user experience is paramount. As such we will work towards a general roadmap, **introducing cutting-edge features** just like those have become known for over the past 3 years, whilst also ensuring that our products face no issues due to unforeseen circumstances such as runtime upgrades, and then we will request funds retroactively – **allowing the community to validate our work** by testing these new features **before deciding on their votes** for our treasury requests.

    Our **goal** for Nova Wallet is t**o build and maintain a high-quality, open-source, community-focused, and feature-rich mobile application**, that has no network biases and can function with no limitations/restrictions. **Nova Wallet is the leading app in the ecosystem** by the following criteria:

Talisman is proposing to create a mobile wallet for both iOS and Android devices, aiming to enhance the user experience and make their web3 journey seamless. The wallet will be compatible with the existing Talisman browser extension wallet and Portal web application. The project requires $598,100 in funding and is planned to be developed from March 2025 to September 2025.

Key features of the Talisman mobile wallet include portfolio management, wallet connect, one-click stake, cross-chain swap and transfers, biometric authentication, and buy/sell crypto options. They have achieved significant traction, with over 140,000 active installs, 19,000 active users, and users in 189 countries. The Talisman mobile wallet aims to continue this growth and bring new users to the Polkadot ecosystem.

**Context of the Proposal**

This proposal plans to seek funding for a Talisman mobile wallet. Our goal is to place the distinctive Talisman user experience into the hands of our current and future users – to transform their web3 journey with a seamless mobile app experience giving people one wallet for all devices.

**Extending the Talisman experience**

At the time of this proposal, Talisman has developed and maintains two core products: a multi-chain browser extension wallet, and a web application that enables users to “Traverse the Paraverse” with ease.

Both of Talisman’s current products are meant for use on the desktop. A Talisman mobile wallet enables users to also access their wallet on the go, for both iOS and Android users.

**Feature Design**

We intend for the mobile app to be a handy extension for Talisman users (pun intended). While it will include all the essential features of a mobile wallet, we’re also exploring innovative capabilities that will set Talisman apart from other wallets across all web3 ecosystems. We aim to create something the Polkadot community can proudly recommend to their friends.

**Why a Talisman mobile wallet matters**

Does the Polkadot ecosystem need another mobile wallet? We believe it does. Increased competition drives innovation, which ultimately benefits the entire Polkadot ecosystem. By entering the mobile wallet space now, Talisman can leverage the latest trends and deliver an experience that matches, or even exceeds, those found in other adjacent ecosystems. **Wallet Positioning**

It is important to us that the Talisman mobile wallet is not only differentiated from other Polkadot ecosystem wallets, but also with respect to other well-known crypto wallets. We don't intend to make another generic me-too mobile app, but to make an attractive product that extends Talisman functionality and uniqueness to a mobile paradigm and brings new users to crypto and to Polkadot.

To those who say that there are too many mobile apps in Polkadot, we reiterate that increased competition drives innovation, which ultimately benefits the entire Polkadot ecosystem. As features become more differentiated, wallets will become increasingly important as a channel to attract and retain web3 users.

Further to our point, we believe that a diverse range of products is essential to meet the varied needs of different users, and this diversity should be encouraged. No single product can fully satisfy every user within the ecosystem. That said, we have no intention of encroaching on the domains of other wallets in the ecosystem. Instead, our mobile wallet will concentrate on enhancing our user-friendly experience, with a particular focus on portfolio management and (AI-assisted) trading.

## **The Ideal Network**

The Ideal Network (**IDN**) will unlock publicly verifiable randomness for Polkadot's World Computer, introducing a game-changing infrastructure that solves critical blockchain challenges. We're building a _trustless_ bridge to the [Drand distributed randomness beacon](https://drand.love/), enabling a **standardized randomness layer** that delivers secure, verifiable randomness at a [fraction of the cost of existing solutions like Chainlink VRF](https://docs.chain.link/vrf/v2/estimating-costs?network=ethereum-mainnet).

The potential is massive:

## **Use Cases**

By providing _publicly verifiable on-chain randomness_, the Ideal Network enables **use cases** across multiple domains including secure network **consensus** and **governance**, fair **DeFi** mechanisms, provably random **gaming** experiences, unbiased and dealer-free **gambling**, transparent **NFT** generation, **front-running-resistant** transaction pools.

Beyond randomness, IDN introduces **timelock encryption,** a cryptographic mechanism that allows messages to be securely encrypted and **revealed only at specific future blocks**. This capability opens up entirely new possibilities for blockchain applications, enabling non-interactive multi-party interactions like **trustless atomic asset swaps**, private **delayed transactions**, and protocols that were previously infeasible like [keyless crypto wallets](https://murmur.idealabs.network/) and **sealed-bid auctions**.

The possibilities are boundless, limited only by the creativity of developers.
