**What can you expect with this following proposal?**

In the following week, Bitskwela will submit a small-spender funding proposal to help us mount different planned Polkadot initiatives, alongside Polkadot Insider and OpenGuild, in the Philippines. This proposal consists of the following initiatives planned for the next six (6) months:

Bitskwela - Expanding Polkadot to the Thriving Philippine Web 3.0 Community

Polkadot and EasyA have announced the finalists of their joint Harvard Hackathon. The event was part of the #180DaysOfPolkadot campaign, which aimed to educate and engage Web3 developers in the Polkadot ecosystem. The campaign was a follow-up to the successful 2023 #60DaysOfPolkadot developer education campaign. The hackathons in London and Harvard attracted a large number of participants, with 350 and 300 hackers respectively, and resulted in the creation of 56 and 55 projects. The event also featured Indy500 racer Conor Daly, who expressed his enthusiasm for the EasyA and Polkadot developer ecosystem. The campaign successfully educated over 100,000 developers on Polkadot and achieved 80% completion rate. The event was supported by various Polkadot ecosystem teams, parachains, and developers. EasyA is now focusing on supporting the top teams and builders to continue building on Polkadot and is working closely with the Unique Network team to funnel builders using NFTs on Unique Network towards their CodeCraft grants programme.

By now you’ve probably already heard about #180DaysOfPolkadot, which took the Web3 developer community by storm. We worked day and night to make this dream a reality, and couldn’t be prouder at having finally pulled it off. In our work across Web3, EasyA alumni have been funded by top VCs like a16z, YC, Founders Fund and many more. We’ve now laid the foundations to recreate this success in the Polkadot ecosystem.

This is our proposed referendum for successfully completing the final milestone (Milestone 2) in EasyA’s #180DaysOfPolkadot.

**Executive Summary:**

For context, the #180DaysOfPolkadot builds on the huge success of our 2023 [#60DaysOfPolkadot developer education campaign](371). After last year’s success, all our stakeholders (Polkadot ecosystem teams, parachains, developers, founders and more) wanted us to build on this momentum and go even bigger. So we took on the challenge and did! We even hosted Indy500 racer Conor Daly at the hackathon so he and his team could see it in action and learn more about the Polkadot developer ecosystem! We’re connecting these incredible builders with mentors in the ecosystem. So far, Angie Dalton (from Dot Play) has been fantastic in connecting with the builders. We’ve also funnelled these people into the available grants programmes. A key highlight was our success in converting the winners into applying for the [Unique Network CodeCraft grants](https://unique.network/blog/your-access-to-nfts-2-0-codecraft-grant/). We’ve been working closely with Charu Sethi and Filip Filipovich from Unique Network on utilising these grants to support with the launch and marketing of the winners’ games.

We know you love seeing the projects that come out of the hackathons, so we’ve included them in the report, along with further context on the EasyA in-app developer challenges! **Milestone 2 Requested Allocation Breakdown Summary (Retroactive Funding)**

Our original proposal for #180DaysOfPolkadot split our costs into two phases. Milestone 1 (approved [here](503)) covered the creation, technical implementation and distribution of the in-app content, as well as the venue/logistics deposits. Milestone 2 (this milestone) is retroactive funding to cover the final costs of the in-person hackathons, prize money and educational campaign.

This retroactive funding after the successful completion of our proposal reflects EasyA’s deep respect for the Polkadot treasury and OpenGov. Rather than the community needing to take any risk with EasyA, we take on the responsibility ourselves of delivering on the KPIs and targets which we set out for the community originally.

**What’s next?**

EasyA has played a key role in growing the Polkadot developer ecosystem since 2022, and we intend to continue building on our successes. Our philosophy has always been to start small, prove ourselves and our results, and then double down on the key areas of success. It’s this approach which has enabled us to drive such big results with our #180DaysOfPolkadot.

In keeping with this guiding philosophy, we’ve already been assessing which areas we should double down on next, and have been discussing our key learnings with our Polkadot ecosystem partners/parachains, Parity and Web3 Foundation. We have detailed these in our full report. However, in summary, our core next step is to get the top teams and builders whom we’ve already recruited, to continue building on Polkadot. The huge EasyA developer community is filled with founders and entrepreneurs and we are excited to get them launching their startups in the Polkadot ecosystem.

We have already started working towards this. We’re working closely with the Unique Network team to funnel builders using NFTs on Unique Network towards their CodeCraft grants programme, which supports builders with launching and marketing. A record number of teams have already now applied for the programme. We’re connecting top games developers with Angie Dalton, who has been welcoming them into the Dot Play initiative. In fact, we have personally introduced all the gaming winners from our Harvard hackathon directly to Angie Dalton. We’re also mentoring teams ourselves, inspiring them about all the opportunities coming up in Polkadot, such as JAM and Plaza. There’s so much more we’re doing too, and we’re currently planning a whole suite of post-hackathon support for our builders, all the way up to getting them funded. We’re very excited to share more on this next month.

Builders who have joined Web3 through EasyA’s in-app challenges and hackathons have gone on to get funded by a16z, YC, Founders Fund and many more top VCs. We’re bringing the top talent who will be able to do that on Polkadot.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and there are many different areas of the technical and ecosystem-wide funnel in Polkadot which we need to fix. However, we’re working night and day to get these builders launching the next big thing on Polkadot. This includes aligning efforts with Parity, Web3 Foundation, and other ecosystem support teams like Papermoon. Together, we’re nurturing a whole new wave of builders to breathe fresh life into Polkadot!

Polkawatch, Decentralization Analytics, Retroactive Infrastructure and Maintenance Q1-Q3 2024

This event is a series of workshops and a hackathon aimed at building a developer community in India for the Polkadot ecosystem. It will be held at IIT Roorkee, one of India's top engineering institutions. The event is organized by Blocksebock in collaboration with Edgetributors SubDAO. The goal is to attract talented developers, students, and blockchain enthusiasts to foster innovation, development, and community engagement within the Polkadot ecosystem.

The event has a hybrid structure, with the workshop and hackathon held two weeks apart, giving students time to review materials and learn. Throughout this period, a students' collective will be formed to guide and assist them virtually. The event aims to address the lack of awareness about PolkadotSDK and Substrate within the Indian developer community, ineffective meetups, tech exposure gaps, and the campus placement culture that limits students' opportunities.

The event will feature pre-hackathon workshops, activities for the students' collective, a physical hackathon kick-off, judging and awards, and post-hackathon activities. The team behind the event includes Blocksebock, a global hackathon hosting platform, and Edgetributors SubDAO, a collective of active solo contributors from the Edgeware DAO with expertise in substrate/PolkadotSDK and ink! development.

The event is expected to have 100-150 participants, with at least 20-30 quality project submissions. It aims to enhance the visibility of the Polkadot ecosystem and contribute to its natural growth and demand. The required amount for the event is 29978.18 USD, with a 10% refundable liquidation buffer, totaling 7383.78 DOT.

# **TL;DR**

This is the first edition of a series aiming to build a developer community in India for the Polkadot ecosystem from the ground up by hosting in-campus workshops and hackathons in the leading [IIT universities](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_Institutes_of_Technology), which are known worldwide for producing the largest number of leading developers. IITs have a vast untapped talent pool that needs to be curated through a well-defined path of learning, knowledge exchange, and a competition. We are looking to establish the path through this 3-in-1 event, which features workshops for accelerated learning, the foundation of students' collective for a series of tech & non-tech activities, and the final hackathon.

# **Why not events bounty?**

We did apply for the events bounty twice, but the curators denied our initial and refined proposals because of reasons mentioned, like a limit on the number of organizing members involved, their misunderstanding of the review rating with a star rating for one of the cheapest accommodations, etc. We will post a detailed thread on our experience with the events bounty, especially the curators’ lack of thorough research later as our priority is the successful hosting of this 3-in-1 event in one of the best universities for which getting another approval (letter of intent) won’t be easy.

Due to the two-week delay caused by the events bounty, we are forced to post multiple big tippers, as a small spender could take significant time. We need about 15k USD out of our total requested amount to make the necessary reservations/bookings (partial token amount wherever possible). So we are looking to post four big tippers and one small spender for the same. Upon approval of the first big tipper, we will encode the rest of the proposals and proceed with the bookings.

# **Overview**

We are excited to propose a first-of-its-kind hackathon and workshop for the Polkadot ecosystem in India, organized by [**Blockseblock**](https://blockseblock.com/) in collaboration with Edgetributors SubDAO. This event aims to foster innovation, development, and community engagement within the Polkadot ecosystem by bringing together talented developers, students, and blockchain enthusiasts. The fundamental propositions of this event are as follows:

-   Hybrid structure: We will host the workshop and the hackathon two weeks apart, giving students time to review all the materials and the learning curve. Throughout this two-week period, we will guide/assist them virtually by forming a students’ collective.
-   Importance of IITs: IITs are often referred to as talent hubs in India due to their challenging entrance barrier for students and for well-known student activities like fests, workshops, hackathons, etc. Hosting this hybrid event in an IIT will attract enthusiastic students from the nearby universities as well.
-   Blockseblock's prior hackathon hosting experience, along with the technical curation/expertise of Edgetributors SubDAO contributors, will ensure that the event is not only successful but also impactful.
-   Being the first of this kind of collaboration, we focus on keeping this event budget-friendly yet accessible for everyone. We will implement our learnings in future hackathons across different IITs.

# **Problem:**

**Limited Developer Awareness:** There's a significant lack of awareness about PolkadotSDK and Substrate within the Indian developer community.

**Ineffective Meetups:** Standard meetups often fail to capture the attention of developers from India's crowded IT sector.

**Tech Exposure Gaps:** For Indian engineering students, significant-tech exposure typically occurs only within their universities or nearby IITs.

**Campus Placement Culture:** The prevalent campus placement culture in India means students often only explore opportunities with companies that visit their campuses, missing out on the vast opportunities offered by Web3.

**Lagging Behind Competitors:** The Polkadot ecosystem lags behind competitors in hosting student-specific learning events like workshops in the Indian demographic.

# **Solutions:**

**Hackathon at a Leading IIT:** Organize a high-impact hackathon at a top IIT to attract and engage talented developers.

**Pre-Hackathon Workshops:** Conduct workshops before the hackathon to build foundational knowledge and excitement around PolkadotSDK/Substrate.

**Formation of a Students' Collective:** Establish a students' collective to foster continuous engagement, collaboration, and learning within the Polkadot ecosystem. This will be crucial to the team formation and other activities after hosting the workshops, before the start of the hackathon.

## **What's success?**

-   We expect 100-150 participants for the Workshops and Hackathon with at least 20-30 quality project submissions.
-   Formation of the collective that can feature the Polkadot Ecosystem in the IIT Roorkee, acting as a self-sustainable incubator/space for the new age developers.
-   This hybrid event aims at enhancing the visibility of the Polkadot ecosystem from the foundational level by cultivating more developers which will contribute to the natural growth and demand.

**4\. Judging and Awards:**

-   Submission on BlockseBlock: Submit projects, including code repositories, decks, and demo videos.
-   Evaluation Criteria: Projects will be judged based on innovation, technical complexity, impact, feasibility, and presentation.
-   Demo: Teams will present their projects to the judges and audience, followed by Q&A sessions.
-   Prize distribution:

**Was everything Pink?**

Nope. Challenges: WagMedia is primarily about creators, and it’s deeply satisfying when a creator is nurtured well enough to step up and make their own impact beyond WAG within the ecosystem. This is the ideal scenario when there is a constant emergence of new creators. After all, our value grows when there is starfish-like growth. However, we’ve noticed a stagnation in the number of new creators approaching Polkadot over the past year. Not just Polkadot, but also due to the prolonged market conditions and general sentiment changes in the crypto landscape. Still we adapt and keep on focusing on rewarding the best content rather than recycled or low-impact content, with tips ranging from $450 to $0.50.

Despite these challenges, during this period we have incentivized and kept prominent figures to write about Polkadot. We believe that if you see engaging, impactful content within the ecosystem, it’s likely written by a WagMedia creator.

The requested funds will cover the costs associated with the production, editing, social media promotion, and hosting of these podcast episodes. Supporting this request will enable AwesomeDOT to continue producing high-quality content that educates, informs, and highlights the innovative work being done within the Polkadot ecosystem.

Now, there's a new plan to change these numbers to:
- The worst gas price will be 25 Gwei.
- The exchange rate between ETH and DOT will be 1:566.

With these new numbers, the fees will be:

- The Polkadot Blockchain Academy (PBA) is planning new programs called PBA6 and PBA-X to train more people.

Polkadot Blockchain Academy proposes to create and execute PBA6 and PBA-X, an online version of PBA, to educate thousands of potential contributors to the ecosystem. ### Motivation Overview

Polkadot is built to be “the next-generation blockchain protocol at the heart of a vision for a fair, secure and resilient web that protects user interests by design (Web 3.0).” ([src](https://polkadot.network/blog/what-is-polkadot-part-2-the-vision)). It is the compute platform designed to power the next generation of applications. Polkadot is secure, resilient and unstoppable, without compromise. However, for Polkadot to truly reach the masses, smart contract development must become more accessible. ink! offers the most straightforward approach to building secure and truly decentralized technology. By supporting the ink! alliance, growth can be accelerated and the developer pool broadened for Polkadot, Plaza, and parachains.

Why is ink! part of the solution? ink! is a Polkadot native smart contract language. ink! shares the same ideals, security and resilience as Polkadot. It uses the same code-libraries and technology that the Polkadot SDK uses, allowing for seamless integration with runtimes and Polkadot’s multichain composability. ink! allows smart contract developers to use Polkadot’s offerings, while remaining secure.

This security comes from ink! being Rust. The language that built Polkadot, and is renowned for its robustness, reliability, and performance. **Current Status and Adoption of ink!**

It is an ideal time to push for greater traction for ink! due to Polkadot’s preparation for contract-enabled system-chains, and ink! being at its most mature-stage yet. ink! is supported by several parachains, has thousands of contracts deployed across the ecosystem, and boasts a robust set of tools, including full-stack boilerplates, scaffolding tools, and advanced security tools.

**Endorsement and Impact**

OpenZeppelin, a major player in Web3 security, highlighted that they “see great potential in ink! and its tool `cargo-contract` which has demonstrated robust security measures and an unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its users. Overall we are confident that ink! and its associated tools will see significant adoption in the future” ([src](https://blog.openzeppelin.com/security-review-ink-cargo-contract)). Data from Parity indicates that the most used smart contract parachains in 2023, Astar and Phala, support ink!, with Phala having over 6,000 ink! Contracts deployed. Additionally, Aleph Zero has developed a thriving ecosystem around ink!, showing how ink! can be impactful in Polkadot with the proper support.

**Widespread Usage**

Centrifuge has proposed a plan to support the long-term sustainability of the Polkadot Treasury by deploying 1.5M USDC into real-world assets to earn stable yield, grow Polkadot TVL, and bolster RWAs within the Polkadot community. This investment would follow the Web3 Foundation's investment in the Anemoy Liquid Treasury Fund. The proposal aims to manage Polkadot's funds responsibly and support growth and long-term stability. The investment will be fully managed using XCM, directly depositing from the Polkadot treasury into the pools on the Centrifuge parachain. The Anemoy Liquid Treasury Fund invests exclusively in U.S T-Bills with a maximum maturity of 6-months, focusing on maximizing interest rates and minimizing price and duration risks.

_Centrifuge’s main priority is to execute on the goals listed below in the original referendum, without impacting short-term spending. Over the last 24hrs, members of the community voiced concerns about the following ‘big spends’ after us potentially not being able to receive funds due to a lack of USDC. We are changing this proposal so that the foundation sends back 1.5M USDC immediately if this referendum passes so this threat is mitigated._

_Centrifuge is committed to working with the community to be the long-term treasury partner helping preserve the DAO treasury in earning yield on idle funds and empowering RWAs on the network, and is happy to cut the initial ask to accommodate other near-term opportunities. We believe a next step following this referendum would be to propose small incremental stablecoin deployment into Centrifuge overtime to further eliminate stablecoin shortages and build strong reserves as the amount of stablecoins coming into Asset Hub continues to grow._

_It’s also important to note that the beneficiary wallet listed is the Polkadot Community Foundation multi-sig wallet - in no way is Centrifuge involved as an added layer of risk in being responsible for sending back the 1.5M._

This proposal is aimed at supporting the long-term sustainability of the Polkadot Treasury. We propose that the newly formed [Polkadot Community Foundation](../treasury/820) on behalf of the DAO, deploy USDC into real-world assets to earn stable yield, grow Polkadot TVL, grow the treasury, bolster RWAs within the Polkadot community and support a leading parachain, Centrifuge. This investment would follow the investment that the **Web3 Foundation made in January** of this year into the Anemoy Liquid Treasury Fund. This is also a strong marketing opportunity for Polkadot as it begins to engage in RWAs, specifically being a talking points at this years [RWA Summit](https://www.rwasummit.io/) this October at the flagship event in NYC.

This proposal is for 1.5M USDC to be deployed into Centirfuge’s T-Bill pool, Anemoy Liquid Treasury Fund. This referendum resulted from the [previous discussion](../post/2393) about onboarding the Polkadot Community to Centrifuge.

The investment will be fully managed using XCM, directly depositing from the Polkadot treasury into the pools on the Centrifuge parachain.

This proposal is important for Polkadot to manage its funds responsibly and support growth and long-term stability. Having a mix of different assets that don't all move in the same direction is crucial for public organizations like DAOs and endowments to earn strong returns over time.

**_TVL Accrued to the Parachain_**

Centrifuge’s parachain is a Substrate network purpose built for the Centrifuge protocol. Not only would TVL accrue to the chain, but there would emerge a great commercial partnership opportunity around marketing RWAs on the network.

**_T-Bills as the first RWA for the DAO_**

Treasury bills (T-Bills) are short-term debt securities issued by the U.S. Department of the Treasury with maturities ranging from a few days to one year. Anemoy focuses on durations less than six-months and the fund earns an average of 5% annual yield. T-bills are considered to carry zero risk because they are backed by the full faith and credit of the U.S. government, making them one of the safest investments available. This low-risk profile makes T-bills a popular choice for investors seeking a secure place to earn yield and preserve capital.

**_Returning Funds - Liquidity_**

There is no lock-up period for the investment - a redemption / return of funds simply requires aproposal outlining such actions. These actions are for the Polkadot community to decide.

Once a sell order has been passed by the DAO, funds can be returned on the same day.

**_Instructions for the Foundation_**

Once 1.5M or more is in the foundation’s control, they should immediately send this amount back to Asset Hub where the USDC came from. -   **Inclusive assess.**

-   **More Parachains.**  
    The community will be able to vote for 10 additional parachains to be supported in later stages.

**Another proposal on AML?**

We are aware that there is a proposal from another company on this matter and its background, so we want to provide at least one alternative option to the community.

We understand that another offer is from a big brand so instead of a “strategic partnership with a big brand” we bring practical substance: software, education, consulting, return stolen funds service, available to everyone in the community for 3 years. All of this with a clear plan and ROI.

In contrast, we also understand that at the current stage of development, it is too early to call compliance a limiting factor for the growth and institutional adoption for Polkadot. Large investments in compliance may shift the focus from growth and create more risks for DOT price than opportunities. So we came up with a "bet small, start early" type of proposal, to give the community the ability to fight back cybercrime and AML risks as early as possible without significant spending.

This referenda asks for only 20000 DOT commitment (not millions) for the Phase 0 delivery. This provides essential tools and support that everyone will be able to test and decide on future phases (see the [formal proposal](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PZL5GwzJtsl0WFaGjmCfBcwZof2oGoV5EsV_DlSuR-M/edit?usp=sharing "GL Proposal to Polkadot")). The following phases shall be approved as separate proposals as the ecosystem grows and naturally would require more sophisticated tools, better performance, and more services.

We also see many concerns about privacy, applicability, and ROI that we want to address specifically, during following video sessions.

**🤓But before let's debunk a few myths:**

-   **"Company X is accepted/recommended by regulators while other companies are not."**

The truth is: that regulators can not be biased and recommend certain companies.  There are no whitelists, chosen firm boards, standards, or laws written with certain company names. 

Just like there is no mandate on which blockchain explorer to use, there is no mandate on which software to use for AML.

Here is an example from FATF standards:

"VASPs should implement appropriate measures to identify and verify the identity of their customers, including through the use of reliable, independent source documents, data, or information (electronic or otherwise), as well as software that can aid in identifying suspicious activity and the sources of funds."

So as long as you can identify the source of funds (or Use of Funds) and verify blockchain data and labels - it's enough. In fact, if you use Blockchain Explorer and put your labels on it, you can fulfill the requirement, it just takes 100X more time for research and it is harder with darknet, mixing, and cybercrime research for example.

GL has a track record with entities like the Euro Council or UNODC and checks around 100-300K requests per day for its EU clients. Just enough authority in the right locality.

-   **"Older companies have bigger databases, especially for illicit activities"**

The truth: Polkadot is fairly new and does not have an extensive track record of illicit activities and cybercrime. So all companies are in the same position here.

It is more important how fast you get new updates because you might not want to help hackers process funds stolen 20 minutes ago from your community buddies.

For Polkadot especially, the current speed is more important than SilkRoad wallets last active in 2012. (However, we have them too).

-   **"Blockchain analytics software is created to spy on people"**

While this is partially true, the direction of “spying” is dependent on who operates the tool. In fact with a tool in your hand, you can check out how governments are selling seized crypto, who is donating to certain political groups, etc.

We were building our company believing in blockchain transparency and equality, so we provide equal opportunity to utilize the transparency.

BTW. By GDPR regulations in the EU, blockchain analytics companies can not store personal data, so deanonymization and labeling are only applicable to entities like exchanges, services, merchants, and also illicit activity, your personal data is out of reach.

We want to create a free notification service for Coretime. This service will help three groups of people:

1. Parachain teams: They will get reminders to renew Coretime and can use the service for other things too. We will make the tool open source, so they can use it or make their own version.

2. Token holders: They will get warnings if a parachain is about to stop making new blocks because it doesn't have enough Coretime.

3. Coretime traders: They will get updates on when to buy Coretime at the best price.

## Summary

With this proposal, we are looking to develop a free notification service related to Coretime.

We are aware of applications like Web3alert. However, after looking into our proposal, there should be a clear distinction between the two services.

**The tool we are looking to build has three main purposes:**

-   **Provide notifications for parachain teams.**
    -   This can serve as a reminder for the team to renew Coretime; however, it can also be used for other purposes.  
          
        Some parachains may want to self-host such a service. Because of this, we are making the notifier tool open source and well-documented. To facilitate self-hosting, we are also making the frontend open source and providing an option for users to select the notifier API that the frontend will communicate with. This way, parachain teams do not need to host the frontend themselves but can simply reuse what we provide.  
          
        On top of such a notifier, programs can be implemented to renew, fund the sovereign account, or purchase Coretime when notified that only a few remain.
-   **Provide notifications for token holders.**
    -   The notification service can also be used to warn token holders if the parachain isn’t allocated Coretime and is about to stop block production.  
          
        When tracking a parachain, the notifier will also alert users about other potential issues. For example, if a parachain is allocated Coretime with provisional finality, the account that allocated Coretime can unallocate it at any time. This could cause the parachain to immediately stop block production.
-   **Provide notifications Coretime traders**
    -   In a bulk sale, Coretime can be purchased in two phases: the lead-in phase or the fixed price phase.  
          
        Ideally, Coretime is purchased in the fixed price phase since it has the lowest price. The lead-in phase functions like a Dutch auction, where the price starts high and gradually drops to the fixed price phase by the end. The later Coretime is purchased during the lead-in phase, the better the price; however, the longer users wait, the higher the risk that someone else will acquire the Coretime.  
          
        Such processes should be automated, rather than requiring someone to monitor the sale manually. The notifier will also be useful in these cases, as it allows for the development of programs that can respond to specific notifications (e.g., when only 5 cores are remaining on sale) and automatically purchase Coretime.

Additionally, many teams are not fully aware of how the Coretime model works, leading to misunderstandings about when to renew. We know this because we have already experienced people reaching out, unsure about how things work. We don't blame them; deployment on Polkadot should be as easy as possible, without requiring teams to understand every detail. Currently, with the transition to Agile Coretime, we have complicated this process, and this proposal aims to fix the issue.

A notifier that clearly indicates when to renew would solve these problems. This can be easily automated, reducing the risk of missed renewals and preventing some chains from stalling. 

Additionally, such a tool would also be focused on regular users who hold tokens on parachains. Token holders should not need to monitor whether a parachain is about to stall due to a no Coretime allocation. This should be abstracted away from them, and they should receive warnings on time if there is no Coretime allocation.

Polkadot proposes to develop a free notification service related to Coretime to provide notifications for parachain teams, token holders, and Coretime traders. The tool will be open source and well-documented to facilitate self-hosting. Under the hood, it acts as a hosted customized DotSight use case with its own indexing as a primary data source. Indexing is done in [partnership](https://medium.com/subsquid/subsquid-and-fidi-join-forces-to-bring-advanced-data-insights-to-web3-users-763094773676) with [SQD (fka Subsquid)](https://subsquid.io/), and FiDi serves as a presentation layer on top of the aggregated on-chain data.

The project comes with a best-in-class [contract discovery](https://docs.fidi.tech/projects-built-on-fidi/moonbeam-analytics/project-information-requirements) detecting activity from creator/deployer wallets, associated treasury wallets, and the project’s smart contracts. Another time-tested use case enables Polkadot users to track all of their wallets across multiple parachains on a single platform with in-depth insights into staking and lending performance not available elsewhere.

## Path to Polkadot’s Intelligence

Now that the architectural groundwork has been laid out and the proof points validated, we are looking to build a robust data source-agnostic intelligence product for all of Polkadot.

At the highest level, this would require us to (a) extend the data providers collection to additional sources, e.g., Dune, SubScan, and LimeChain, (b) broaden coverage for those currently supported, e.g., Parity’s DotLake and Colorful Notion, and (c) extend the repository of metrics and widgets available for the community.

Hello, everyone. This discussion post aims to gather insights and feedback from the community about a planned treasury proposal for Cyborg Network. Cyborg Network is a web2.5 centric parachain to onboard a fresh wave of enterprise and web2 native users into the dotsama ecosystem.

**Summary:**

Polkadot, as one of the most technically advanced blockchain ecosystems, holds immense potential for modeling enterprise-ready applications. This can attract a significant influx of users and developers. Our goal is to leverage this technology and introduce a new wave of web2 and enterprise users into the Polkadot ecosystem. We plan to achieve this by building industry-ready infrastructure that facilitates AI adoption.

We are developing a platform for managing AI compute resources (both training and inference) with strategic partnerships across web2 and web3 domains. Our vision is to launch the **Cyborg parachain** as **Polkadot's web2.5 hub**. This will empower developers to build, deploy, and scale web2.5 applications on our parachain with dedicated business development support and mentorship.

Additionally, we are launching a Polkadot-centric product line called **JAM-Boost**. JAM-Boost will enable the deployment and management of Polkadot edge nodes (low-latency collators and validators). This will facilitate infrastructure decentralization for new technologies like async backing and JAM. **Updates:**

Contrary to common assumptions, this proposal is not for a token swap.

The airdrop, as mentioned above, will be done irrespective of the result of this proposal. We like the idea of every DOT wallet holding some BORG, similar to how DED tokens are distributed, and to achieve effective decentralization.

Based on the feedback we received so far, we have decided to use the DOT token and Asset Hub stablecoins for all transactions related to JAM-Boost. Users can pay for services and receive rewards in DOT or other Asset Hub stablecoins. Our token will not be used for this product, as this will act as a common good for the ecosystem.

In the future, however, we may opt to use DOT across our entire platform (depending on user feedback and community consensus), potentially removing the need for a separate token for Cyborg Network.
