We are requesting the top-up of our Meetups Bounty #43. We would also like to implement what we learned in the first half-year of our existence. Small meetups strengthen the Polkadot ecosystem and help spread awareness. With a low budget, these meetups can make a significant impact by bringing people together to learn, connect, and grow the Polkadot community—especially in areas that aren’t yet that active. The team has been working on the Developer Console for six months and has self-funded its development. They have also maintained the Staking Dashboard. KodaDot has established itself as the leading NFT marketplace on Polkadot Asset Hub, successfully delivering over 40 generative art drops and processing nearly 9,000 NFT mints with a 95%+ success rate. Our infrastructure currently handles 40,000 daily unique requests and maintains over 75,000 NFT metadata entries. As an open-source public good, we've distributed over $400k in bounties to more than 130 contributors, building essential NFT infrastructure for the entire ecosystem.

## The Problem

KodaDot's rapid growth has brought us to a critical juncture. While we're successfully delivering regular generative art drops and serving a growing user base, we urgently need to secure long-term maintenance funding to sustain this public infrastructure. Without dedicated maintenance resources, we can't reliably expand to meet user demands for crucial features like trustless NFT trading and a comprehensive offers system. As the leading NFT platform on Polkadot Asset Hub, consistent maintenance, monitoring, and optimization are essential to ensure the platform remains reliable for the entire ecosystem.

## Our Objectives

We aim to solve these issues by implementing secure peer-to-peer NFT trading through atomic swaps, enabling a flexible offer system for any NFT, and maintaining robust infrastructure. These improvements will significantly enhance the NFT trading experience on Polkadot, making it more competitive with other blockchain ecosystems.

## The Solution

We're proposing three major developments:

1. **Atomic Swaps**: A secure, trustless trading system allowing users to exchange NFTs directly without intermediaries. This includes multi-asset support and optimized pricing, ensuring safe and efficient trades.
 
2. **Offers System**: A comprehensive bidding system enabling users to make offers on any NFT, whether listed or not. This includes time-limited offers, counter-offers, and a notification system to keep users engaged.
 
3. **Infrastructure Enhancement**: Significant improvements to our backend systems, including optimized gateways processing, advanced caching, and enhanced IPFS pinning for reliable NFT metadata storage.
 

## Technical Implementation

Our experienced team of five developers will build these features using our proven technical stack. We're extending our SubSquid indexing nodes, implementing new NFT pallet integrations, and enhancing our caching layer with Stellate. Performance targets include sub-3-second response times for offers, sub-5-second execution for swaps, and 99.9% system uptime.

The $280,000 budget breaks down into five focused milestones:

A proposal has been submitted to the Uniswap DAO to deploy Uniswap V3 contracts to the Polkadot Asset Hub. The deployment cost is $105,000, which will be paid to GFX Labs. The proposal comes after receiving feedback from an initial discussion on the forum. Polkadot is set to receive its 2.0/Plaza upgrade and deploy EVM-compatible PolkaVM in December. Uniswap V3 offers concentrated liquidity and capital efficiency, which are improvements over V2. The cost breakdown includes $45,000 for Uniswap deployment and $60,000 for UI maintenance. @DAOplomats, on behalf of the Polkadot Community, [is submitting a](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1a7nW1E7Up_b0yBcyNQQtmFI99HWrqcXVLRbtRmfdszY/edit) proposal to the Uniswap DAO to deploy the Uniswap V3 contracts to the Polkadot Asset Hub. This proposal comes after receiving feedback from the [initial discussion](https://forum.polkadot.network/t/deploying-uniswap-v3-contracts-to-pvm/10047/2?u=baer_daoplomats) we hosted on the forum.  
Polkadot will receive its much-anticipated 2.0/Plaza upgrade and deploy EVM-compatible [PolkaVM](https://wiki.polkadot.network/docs/learn-jam-chain#polkadot-virtual-machine-pvm) in [December](https://forum.polkadot.network/t/contracts-on-assethub-roadmap/9513). We believe the Asset Hub should enable support for Uniswap V3 contracts as the natural process of upgrading the current Uniswap V2-based asset swapping pallet.

1\. **Concentrated Liquidity**  
Uniswp V2 uses the 𝑥\*𝑦= k curve where Price: 𝑃 = 𝑦/𝑥. This method is inefficient for tokens that trade in a narrow price range and distribute the liquidity across the entire price range, 0 to infinity.  
V3 improves this by introducing price as the root of the two tokens and allowing the concentration of liquidity to a specific price range. This concentration enables more effective trades, reducing slippage. The liquidity is represented by Non-fungible tokens, which make the raged position effective to manage.

2\. **Capital Efficiency**

V2 required the deployment of liquidity in a 50/50 manner, but in V3, the price can be distributed across multiple ranges and provide single-sided liquidity. Liquidity providers can distribute their capital across multiple range orders, enabling on-chain limit orders.

Draper University proposes a pre-accelerator program to attract and develop startups building on the Polkadot ecosystem. The program includes a residency at Draper University in Silicon Valley, resources, education, capital, and network. The requested allocation is USDC $438,600, including $150k in grant funding for startups. The program will last for 6 weeks and target high-growth/potential startups building across Web3 in AI, real-world assets, and gaming. The program aims to accelerate the growth of startups, provide access to venture capital, and create awareness for the Polkadot chain.

This proposal is about giving a retroactive tip to Saxemberg, who was an active Decentralized Voice (DV) during Cohort 2. Saxemberg had a 94.7% participation rate and communicated well with the community. The proposal suggests a maximum tip of 2,500 DOT (about 833.33 DOT per month) for Saxemberg's contributions. **Milestones and Deliverables**  
  
Over the next nine months, our primary focus is to develop IDCHAIN, our decentralized identity solution. By the end of this period, we aim to have IDCHAIN fully developed and tested, laying the groundwork for future mass user onboarding. This involves completing its Proof of Concept (POC), deploying the testnet, conducting comprehensive security and compliance testing, UI/UX feedback iterations, and preparing the infrastructure for eventual large-scale adoption.  
  
Simultaneously, we'll finalize the MVPs for DJOIN, UnBalivable, and the West Java SmartGov Pilots toward their Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stages. This includes integrating essential features like KOCEK (Cooperative Credit Scoring) with DJOIN, refining user experiences based on feedback, and ensuring all projects meet compliance and security standards. Throughout this process, we'll collaborate closely with enterprise and government stakeholders to solidify partnerships and integrations.
